Wagner's Pharmacy

It's historic and it's a tradition in my family to come here every year when the track opens for the spring meet. I love the atmosphere of the old time pharmacy in the back and the friendly staff. The food is pretty good, but not always consistent, never bad, but not always as great as it can be. The menu is full of homemade southern favorites. you can't go wrong with the Fried potatoes and fried eggs for breakfast, its a never-miss! Lunch specials change daily, but they offer lots of great things for everyone!

I love Wagner's I eat there with my Dad about once a month. The atmosphere is great. All the customers act like they came together talking and cutting up. It's a real Louisville Jewel. I love the food. They have daily specials. I love Wednesday's Open Faced Roast Beef and Mashed Potatoes. It's to die for people. I've had several dishes there snd all were extremely good. So if your an out of towner or a local stop by Wagner's, it sometimes busy, but worth the wait.

Waited a half hour to be noticed than waitress brought us napkins than noticed everyone that came in at the same time or after us had drinks and food when I raised my hand to ask a waitress I was given a dirty look and the waitress yelled over "I'm the only one here today you're going to have to wait"! We waited another twenty minutes and never saw another waitress so we decided to leave. We had really wanted to experience the famous biscuits and gravy but unfortunately we never will

Just a classic place to have lunch Great food, home cooking.(not alot of vegan choice). Great atmosphere! The pictures are amazing. Historic and the heart of Churchill downs Make sure you pick up a t-shirt!

Historic restaurant. A Louisville staple since the 1920's. Situated by Churchill Downs with down home cooking enjoyed by everyone from everyday people to jockeys to top chefs. Excellent omelettes and a special Derby Ham Sandwich. You might also learn some tricks of the horse racing trade during your visit.
