Worst hospital ever ...... my husband was in recovery for over 6 hours cause they were behind and waiting for a bed.. they never told me much of anything... except it would be a while... but they didn’t know how long.. will never use this hospital again!!!!!!! They don’t care about family waiting to see their love ones NOT acceptable!!!!! by any means!!! No one should have to go through this!

At first things were pretty good while my dad was there & I was staying there each night. The nurses were really nice & I mean really nice.
My problems began when I went home. My dad had a seizure and no one called me, we weren't getting test results without asking, my dad was found in a soiled bed & his breakfast tray was in his room but no one was there feeding him.
I gave them a rating of two stars because we had some great nurses.One in particular was excellent but almost everything else was awful. His doctor had a couple of days off after my dad's stay there & he was excellent also.
Everything else, not so much.
It's a terrible thing when you would prefer that your loved one go to a nursing home than to stay in a hospital.

First I want to say that the care at this health system is actually wonderful. I have never had an issue with my ER, anyone on the staff, the providers, and I LOVE my Dr James McMahon at Brastleton.
HOWEVER, their billing is HORRIBLE> I can tell you that I work in the lab industry and it costs about $40-50 to run a CBC (Complete blood count) on a patient. Do you know what they charged me? $644!!! I am NOT even kidding. They charged me over $1250 for a chemistry panel with cardiac markers (Again, probably costs the lab $50. I complained when I had to pay the entire bill with cash but of course the woman on the phone had nothing to say.
THEN, they didn't send me a bill and the last bill I received was 3-17-18, which I paid IMMEDIATELY. They then turned me over to collections. When I called to complain she explained that this was an internal collection department..which it does not state anywhere on the bill.
The online portal to pay NEVER worked. You had to call that number and sit on hold for over 14 minutes.
I cannot complain enough about the horrible way they would treat a patient and the customer service, which is non-existent AND the price gouging. I will be taking my healthcare elsewhere. I suggest you do as well in case you ever have to pay a bill out-of-pocket... you will be SHOCKED at how bad it will be.

The Gainesville Billing Department was amazing. I have been going back and forth with my insurance company trying to get everything straight and I was in a panic today. The wait on the line was long, but so very worth it. I was even sent an email of the paper work immediately.
Thanks guys. Seriously.

Although the staff and providers are amazing, the billing department has so many problems we are going to drive to Gwinnett Medical Center for our services. Our entire family has had multiple billing discrepancies, billing errors and overcharges resulting in a mass amount of time and effort spent to resolve simple challenges. There have been 20 separate challenges on simple things like a copay or preventive billing. Invest NOW in your billing department and make sure this is staffed well. The right hand does not know what the left if doing in regards to the billing. STAY AWAY UNTIL THE BILLING DEPARTMENT GET THE ACT TOGETHER!!!
