Novel

The new location was such a great decision, and the revamped menu is full of great dishes. I'm excited to come back a few more times and taste more of what's on offer, as well as see how the menu progresses over time. Our waiter the first visit (at the new location, at least) was so great, and really helped walk through their great list of cocktails and find the right one for me. Excited to see how Novel continues to grow over the next several months.

Good dishes but sometimes the flavor was not balanced properly (too much acid or not enough). Not enough protein options but overall the food was good. Although, this seems like one of those places like "oh, if we serve it on small plates, people will think it's good/ fancy". Liked the gnocchi, all the deserts I tried were awful. Pretty good service and replied quickly to emails about large group reservations.

We had the chef's tasting menu with wine parings. Wonderful light courses, the flavors were very harmonious and portion sizes were perfect for a multiple course meal. Very fresh ingredients. The wines selected for the evening were mostly whites, and were very well marched with each course. They either complimented or provided a nice counter to the dishes. The building is lovely, multi storey converted house. Service was impeccable. Highly recommended place to experience a truly memorable it meal in KC.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The bartender mixed the best old fashioned I ever tasted. The service was terrific and the food was out of this world. And this was during restaurant week. I can't wait to return

Initial table and service issues but management completely took care of it and food was wonderful service ended up being great would recommend anybody
