Ochsner Urgent Care - French Quarter

Ochsner Urgent Care - French Quarter was a convenient location and a first-class urgent care facility. Unfortunately it has been closed for years, at this location. The Ochsner Health System is a major health care provider in New Orleans and has several other locations, but none remain in the French Quarter.

Reception was courteous and efficient. I felt everything was explained to me properly, my insurance was checked and I was asked to fill in a few entry forms. Security was wonderful. Thank you for having someone on staff. The medical technician was professional, knowledgeable and nice. The doctor on staff was posted. I could tell that he looked over my chart and after explaining what he thought might be happening he listened intently. In the end he provided a much needed medical treatment and helped direct me to the pharmacy. The waiting area was clean and tidy.

In from out of town and I got sick. This location got great reviews and for a reason! The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful in getting my paperwork done and I was in the back in under 10 minutes. The nurse was super helpful and so was the doc. Diagnosed me with the flu, wrote a prescription for a pharmacy right by my hotel and I was on my way in under 30 minutes. I was not expecting this level of service and the staff really surprised me with their genuine concern and overall helpfulness. I can highly recommend that you go here if you find yourself in need of medical care while visiting New Orleans.

I have never been so impressed by a medical facility. I arrived 15 minutes before they opened and the security guard let me in AND handed me a clipboard to fill out so I could start paperwork. He was so kind and caring. The in take nurse was very genuine and charismatic I felt absolutely terrible and it was good to have a few laughs. Finally, the Dr. was on top of his game. Very invested, thorough, detailed, compassionate and kind. Thank you for helping me turn my vacation around!

This urgent care is the best! I have been seen at this location several times over the last few years. Every time I have received exceptional service and care. From the receptionist to the nurses and doctors, everyone is wonderful. I’ve never waited more than 10 minutes. The office and exam rooms are clean, the staff are knowledgeable and professional and I can’t recommend this location enough. Thank you!

I received excellent care by everyone at Ochsner Urgent Care in the French Quarter. I would highly recommend them! After injuring my foot on a nearby job site, I was taken here and given excellent care by everyone from the receptionist to the nurse to the attending doctor. All were very attentive and thorough in their care. Also I might add, the facility is very clean and nicely maintained.

While in New Orleans due to a family tragedy, I had an odd experience with severe pain in my foot. Most people dread having to deal with illness or injury while away from home, I am among those people, but not being able to walk at all, had no other choice. The doctors and staff at New Orleans Urgent Care were outstanding, so much more than I ever expected. The wait upon arrival was very short, and the exam was thorough. In less than half an hour, I had been examined and prescribed medication that worked in a very short period of time. The care, knowledge and compassion shown me at an extremely difficult time was extraordinary, and much appreciated.

Check in process was quick and easy. When called back the X-ray technician playing nurse since they were short staffed was extremely short with me and clearly shouldn’t have been in the position since each of my questions was met with an “I don’t know”. The doctor who saw me didn’t fully listen when I was trying to talk about my history and went on with her preconceived notions. I do not recommend this place even with the most simplistic of treatments.

Came from out of state and got sick. Called the office and from the lady that answered the phone all the way to the dr everyone was amazing. Saw the physicians assistant David today and he was fantastic. Very in depth with my care and had me in and out in no time. His medical assistant was the absolute sweetest. I would highly recommend Ochsner Urgent Care if you are near the French Quarter and need care.

The main staff and initial nurse was lovely. I went in with a really bad cough, sore throat and fever. I never go to the Doctor unless I'm feeling really bad. The main nurse practitioner was very unhelpful - His advice was "just hope you don't get the flu" and recommended a steroid shot and gave me a prescription for Flonase. The steroid shot made a tiny difference and I went to get the prescription it was $200 - the pharmacist recommended that I get the over the counter version. I feel like he sent me out the door with that prescription just to appease me and in the end it was awful. I spent $125 on my visit for the Nurse practitioner to tell me just to "hope that I didn't get the flu" and act condescending.
