Office Depot

Called a couple days earlier to inquire about their in-store shredding service. Was told the amount I had (about the size of one big filing box) would be fine to bring in. When arrived at store was told rather abruptly they have a 5 lb. limit on their in-store shredder. I asked why and the cust. service person said she "didn't have the manpower available" to do any more than that. There was only one other customer at the desk and the store was nearly empty. Would have probably taken me 10-15 mins. to do it myself using their big shredder. So first I was misinformed, wasting my time driving there, and then was made to feel like an imposition trying to use their services. I'm giving two stars though because the other cashier at the main checkout line was nice.

Very helpful staff! However the decor and mood was gritty and depressing. Worse Office Depot shopping ambiance ever!! Unless you are shopping for caskets....zombie clothing store....you get the image now?

I just left the store at 4:30pm I had entered the store at approximately 4:05pm(i came directly from the rogue valley mall.), I was "helped" by two employees by the name of Tabitha and Ethan at the postal area. First Tabitha barely pointed my way to a computer to send a business package while she scuffled some papers. She was obviously uninterested and annoyed by my presence and not the least bit helpful, I had never used the postal system from office depot before and her whole demeanor made me want to leave, unfortunately the hallmark I usually send my business papers through was closed so I had no other option. When I had finished filling out all the package information another employee came up, and Tabitha informed me that he was going to help me. Ethan then took five minutes to put his apron on, so Tabitha very obviously irritated came to help me then sent me to the register. At this point Ethan was helping someone else and I had to wait for another few minutes while he was finishing that transaction. When he had finally gotten to me I was rather irritated, I just wanted to go home and change out of my work uniform. My change back was three dollars and some change. While Ethan was pulling out my dollar bills he stopped for about 15 seconds to attempt to uncurl the corners of said dollar bills. I feel his scratching at my change was to purposely make me have to wait longer and irritated me. I understand I was obviously irritated at the end of transaction, but I didn't say or do anything disrespectful or deserving of either of these two to act this way with me. In fact, when I first entered the store I was in a great mood and quite friendly to Tabitha. I will be trying my hardest to completely avoid doing any business with office depot from now on.

Very few staff visible, no one at checkout, two people waiting to check out, too several minutes for employee to attained at check out
