I originally posted a negative review of OneGuard here in the Phoenix Arizona area. Since then I have changed my opinion. Samantha who works for OneGuard has really listened to my complaint and has worked hard to earn my trust. She agreed that the communication should have been better and also split the cost of repairs to my irrigation system. Samantha has used this as an opportunity for education of employees and contractors within their organization. She also has reached out in an effort to provide better customer service. I will continue to work with OneGuard and utilize the program. Samantha has proven to me she is truly interested in the customer and wants to create a better experience. I feel she is genuine and I believe moving forward it will be worth my time and money to work with OneGuard. Suzanne Angelo

FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS from their own employees and family! OneGuard Home Warranties are as crooked as it gets! Complete scam! They compromised our HVAC units heating components on purpose to save money on fixing the AC during the summer. When winter came there was no Heat and the heater parts had been all ripped out. They of course acted like it was like this before. When had moved into the house and had fully documented evidence and pictures the unit was in perfect working order prior to them working on it. SCAM ARTISTS & CROOKS!

Update to the below review: Lisa Kuhn from One Guard did contact me and refunded me the service fee. She stated that since I was within my first year that my service request should have been reviewed prior to being sent out to the repair company. She also agreed that the repair man should have at least been prepared to take a look at the fan and diagnosed the issue instead of just taking my husband's word for it. I appreciate them reaching out. So overall I had a terrible experience in the beginning, I wasted a lot of time with first setting up the service request since their website wouldn't load my plan details, then on a call with customer care who did nothing to help. The second half of my experience with Lisa went well and I appreciate that she rectified the situation. I'm still only giving 3 stars since I originally did ask to speak to a supervisor when I was on the call with customer care. I was denied the request and was told an email would be sent but it wasn't until One Guard was aware of my google review did they reach out to me and I think more should be done when a customer first calls in and they shouldn't have to post a negative review before someone does something to help. My experience with One Guard has been terrible. I logged in and put in a service request online. First of all my plan details never loaded and I actually logged in on several different occasions to see if it would be working. After several attempts I finally just put in my service request for my fan. An electrician came out, never laid a hand on the fan and based off what my husband said, decided he would need to take the fan down but wasn't prepared so he would come back at a later date. 10 days later I called them and I was told One Guard didn't cover the type of work the fan needed. I called One Guard to let them know that the electrician never even diagnosed the issue so how could I be charged. The electrician basically based if off what my husband said but my husband is not qualified to diagnose an electrical problem so I paid for something they never did. If he had taken a look at the fan to determine that in fact my husband was correct then I would be ok but he did not do that. I just want to get what I paid for even if no work can be completed I think it's at least fair to diagnose the issue instead of going off what a homeowner THINKS may be the issue. We're paying for experts to do their job and a job was not done! In speaking to One Guard the other nugget of wisdom this customer care person told me was that I could have avoided the fee if I would have put in my request with a person instead of online.....so basically I'm over charged because no where online does it suggest you speak to some one prior to putting in your work request. Mind you, I did put in all this info into my comments of my work request but apparently no one reads those prior to the work request going out.....this was confirmed by customer care as well. Another tid bit of advice from customer care is if you have 2 kitchen appliance such as refrigerator and dishwasher you should also put in those requests directly with a rep and not online because you'll be charged twice even if it's an issue that can be resolved by the same repair company. Again, why wouldn't this just be a disclaimer on their website...just say, our website sucks call us instead!

The water heater broke at our tenant's home leaving the house unlivable for our tenant and her kids. At first One Guard seemed reasonable saying they’d get someone out to assess it the next day but that didn’t happen. Then they said 2 days later and fixed within 3 days. Then they said the contractor couldn’t get out there until 6 days later. Then after speaking with the contractor ourselves they hung up on us, so we finally called to speak to the supervisor at One Guard on the 3rd day. He said he would approve the installation and it would get done. We did offer to pay for it ourselves and then they can reimburse us but they said they couldn’t do that. We asked if they could get another contractor out and they said no. Then One Guard tried calling my tenants 2 days later for authorization of expenses not covered with the warranty. On the 7th day I gave them a piece of my mind and authorized any expenses to get it done. I left messages for the contractor saying how urgent it was to fix this. On the 8th day they called the property manager saying the contractor won’t install a new water heater until next Tuesday, 13 days after it broke, leaving my tenant without water for 3 days and no hot water for 10 days. We’ve reviewed the contract and see they have written into their contract they will “make every reasonable effort to repair it within 24 hours” if the house is unlivable. We have now decided to pay out of pocket for a different contractor who magically can get it done the same day we called. All that to say, I wouldn’t recommend this company. They definitely do not put the customers needs first.

We have used One Guard for several years. The process of requesting setvice is quite simple. Over time we have saved over $2000 on repairs to appliances in our home. Just renewed again! The price is worth the peace of mind of knowing we won't have any large expenses for repairs at our house!
