Osaka Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi

The hibachi meal experience is a lot of fun, and the food is very good. Portion sizes are fairly large, and my wife usually eats a little over half her food here. They also offer lunch specials, which are basically smaller portions of the same food at a much lower cost, and we really enjoyed that. The lunch special was very good value. We also really enjoy the food. The ginger sauce with the steak is a personal favorite of mine, and my wife really loves the noodles. Absolutely worth checking out if you want some Asian grilling or enjoy having your food prepared theatrically in front of you.

Good food and funny chef. Maybe we came a little too early because the restaurant was filled with kids, which was not the best for a date night with the wife. We still enjoyed it and will probably return some time. There is a smaller bar area separate from the hibachi space, but i would really consider it a bar.

I love the entertainment value of having your meal cooked right in front of you! Osaka is by far my favorite place to go for hibachi dinner. Every chef does some things a little different but it's always fun and entertaining. The onion volcano is pretty much a classic and this last time we went, was the first I had a chef make both a snowman and a 'Japanese' Micky mouse out of the fried rice. The kids loved it!

We love Osaka for a fun Hibachi style meal. My only complaint is that it is dirty and shows signs of age and they don't seem to put money into the building; one of the two front doors has been broken the last 3 times I've been there, probably over a year. The lights are low so just keep your eyes on the hibachi chef and you'll have a great meal for less than the price of Benihana - plus you get noodles! They have a dining room as well and I've heard the sushi is pretty good but never had it myself.

Overall, I had a good experience. The cook I had was entertaining and the food was cooked perfectly. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because half of my group did not have the same experience, they didn’t have the same cook and their food was over cooked. Clearly your experience and food will gonna be based on who your cook is, but definitely worth a try if you’ve never been.
