Oldest handmade brick bar in Florida. Fantastic little bar... I visited during the night and service was impeccable, drinks were great and the crowd was a lot of fun! I would highly recommend this as a stop on your trip if you are in the area! Only place with live entertainment in April. Service is super fast and friendly, the drinks are suitably strong and full and it has a sense of history that I love. To me, even though I'm not a smoker and don't like smoke it's ok because it fits this place. If you're looking for modern and trendy this IS NOT IT. If you're looking for old, wood bar, dark. Old school architecture.

Florida's oldest bar. A throwback to the early 20th century, tall ceilings and ornate bar. The atmosphere is worth the visit alone but you've got alcohol too! Be sure to try the Pirates Punch, it's a house specialty, so you get a souvenir cup. Bathrooms are small be forewarned. Good place to get the feel of a bygone time.

If you're looking for music, drinks and drunk people dancing their hearts out, look no further, Palace Saloon is the place for you! I arrived on a Friday night so you can expect my experience to vary from a day time visit.
The saloon is split into two large rooms, what appears to be one for dining and eating and the other for louging and activities. I walked past the first room where I found the activity room already busy and filled with a plethora of young people ready to rock. Towards the left, a surprisingly empty bar. Towards the right, a few tables. Further towards the back, a smaller room with billiards, a DJ and a dance floor.
Ordering a drink was easy enough as I didn't have to wait long, though there was no Johnny Walker Black. Prices are relatively cheap especially compared to south Florida bars. Most of the night was spent alternating between losing several rounds of billiards and trying to dance with one drink in my hand with some random blonde from California. So all in all, Palace Saloon gets the job done.

Nice little piece of history. Cool old bar. Several beers on tap as well as a Pirates Punch. Love the mosaic floors and the tin ceiling pannels. A couple of display cases with historical items and photos. The murals on the wall are cool. As an added bonus they were playing the Christmas Story on the television. We never made it into the second room to see what was there, but we would not hesitate to return again in the future. Two drinks came our to about $14. We did not think that was too bad for an old tourist town bar. If you get the chance, stop in and have a drink or two. Maybe you can find out if it is true that the brass foot rest at the bottom of bars was really put there to keep you feet out of bodily fluids. It is a rather disgusting story but it does seem plausible. Have a wonderful visit the next time you are here.

Cool place to grab a drink as it is the oldest bar in Florida. Definitely seemed like a party spot with liquor punch, loud dance music, and it is connected to other bars.
