A hidden gem of the Hudson River. Great views from the top of the Palisades along with great parks on the river. Hiking trails throughout the prak running north south are really quiet, very few people use these. I don't know why. If you want a nice place to picnic with family or if you are looking for some solitude along the river this place is for you. Just keep it to yourself!! Enjoy.

I cannot believe this gem is only a little over an hour and a half from where I live in Suffolk County, Long Island. We took the Giant Stairs as per the insight from Unboring Exploring and had such a great time. Extremely diverse hikes from Hudson River alcove, to forest dug stairways, to high tier waterfalls, to rock scrambles, to dense woods and overlooks. Incredibly beautiful and a fun, challenging, active day for any lover of nature. Housed in the parking lot is a quaint restaurant and pit stop perfect for grabbing trail snacks and a hot bite to eat after your appetite instilling hike. I had the most amazing time here!

Has the best view to the GWB & NYC. Great place to take a romantic walk, biking, skating, walk your dog, bring your family and kids for a picnic, and so much more! The park itself is huge and cuts through about 4 different towns. It's very peaceful and quiet. This park is the best place for those who are down to earth and love nature. I love coming here and exploring because it use to be a fort for war back in the day. You can find ruins and there is a small house where you can actually have an old fashioned dinner from back then. I would come here literally every day, the serenity sound of the river and view to NYC really made me feel at ease.

A beautiful interstate park with sublime views of the Hudson River and its east shore. There is an indoor cafe in the park which is nice in cold weather. However, it is apparently illegal to eat your own food in the cafe. In warmer weather, there are plenty of beautiful lunch spots outside. There were so many amazing lookout spots with views of large and rare birds hunting on the cliffs.

I came here with my Lady for a hike and let me tell you something this was so beautiful. We will be back because we only did one of the trails, but this is a great way to workout and getaway from the inner city. Be at peace with mother earth and relax with a good walk or run.
