This place is pathetic. I have never seen such bad customer service in my life. They charge you for everything under the sun but can’t even keep the grass cut. The units are old and the rent is way to much. You can rent a beautiful home and pay all bills and be comfortable instead of living in a horrible place like this. I use to live here and I am so glad that I am gone. How can someone who charges so much for rent have the nerve to not have understanding and compassion for their tenets. They are a joke and I am reporting them because something has to be done. The reviews speaks volumes. Why would anybody want to work for such a horrible company. Stay far away.
We lived at Parkview for many years and honestly we enjoyed most of the time that we were there. The constant changing of management companies was at best annoying and throughout the years it got worse and worse. When we first moved in the management was fantastic and responsive. the management team knew me and my family on a first name basis and genuinely endeavored on a daily basis to make it a nice community. Unfortunately it is no longer that way. Maintenance was awful. Asking for general repairs could take weeks and multiple phone calls to even get band-aid fixes. We were given missives on a regular basis in our last year of the new fees that were being added. Trash fees that were originally paid as part of our rent went from 10 to more than 30 and everything was a fine, if your trash wasn't picked up on time, if your dog wasn't looked after, if they had to pick up trash that might have come into your yard, absolutely anything to squeeze another 50.00 bucks out of your pocket. The community fell apart. Our Neighbors that had been there for years started to move out and their replacements couldn't have had any sort of background check as crime started to infiltrate our once peaceful little neighborhood. I would STRONGLY recommend against moving into this property. ***Update*** isn't it interesting that there were 3 5* ratings in a row all from people with only one rating anywhere ever. Questionable at the very least.
This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The villa was decent and we never had any problems with our neighbors. I honestly didn't mind living there until we had to deal with management Terri Hall. I have never met someone so unprofessional in my life until I moved there. We had many problems such as: 1.They take forever to fix anything; even when you call daily. 2.Unnecessary fees were added to our account, so we went to the office to have them explained. Instead of an explanation we were treated like children by constantly being yelled at. She would cut us off every chance she got and would make rude remarks. 3.We were told we needed a 60 day notice to have a month to month, which I've never heard of in my life. Later on they changed it to 30 days and called us liars. 4.I requested a walk-through so we wouldn't receive any surprise fees. I was told they would call me, instead I never received a call and money was taken from our deposit. I honestly believe the manager has a mental illness and is not taking her medications. Therefore, she shouldn't be managing and dealing with tenants' issues on a daily basis. People like her is the reason we moved out and if we could've left earlier we would've. I'm rating this place a 0 due to management.
We lived there for too long. Everything was outdated and barely working. Management was always rude and sent 1532 notices on doors enforcing the rules of the lease but never actually followed up with it. Many residents had dogs off their leash who ran rampant throughout the area, threatening the safety of those who had pets and small children. But if the office was closed for nights/weekends/holidays, everyone did whatever they wanted because no one was there to enforce the rules of the lease. Living there was unbearable and we literally counted down the days until we didn’t have to deal with the place anymore.
Bait and switch. They show you a nice model on a nice block, and it appears that you are far enough east to be out of the lower socioeconomic area. Then when they give you your keys, you find out that they have an entirely different branch of the complex, about a block west of WIlliamsburg 1200 block of Harding, you can look it up on Google Maps. Well, this block looks nothing like what they show you. I addressed my concern with this and asked about crime rates prior to moving in, and the manager Terri assured me that crime is actually better on Harding than on Williamsburg. I reluctantly moved in. As I was moving in my stuff, but not yet staying in the new place, I found out our garage door had a malfunction that caused it to open randomly. This resulted in one of my bicycles being stolen, before I was even staying in my new place. This was in July. It is now September and they refuse to fix the garage door, so essentially we can't use it. After the theft, which required me to file a burglary report with the Wichita Police Department, we requested to be moved to Williamsburg where we were shown initially. They were happy to move us, as long as we paid hundreds of dollars in penalties. We have random people banging on our door at 3am asking for rides, because they are "high". Also, I had to fix my toilet and my dishwasher myself, because I was told either that maintenance couldn't make it out for several days toilet, or that they flat out cannot fix it dishwasher and that they would not replace the broken dishwasher. This management company is dishonest and legality is questionable. I am miserable in this place, it has been the worst experience I've ever had renting. Do not let them fool you into thinking you will be happy here by showing off their model. Floor plans are nice and big, yes. But not worth it. EDIT 9/21/15: I received a call from the office today, they apologized for the problems with maintenance. Apparently there was a communication breakdown and they offered to reimburse me for parts and labor, and will re-investigate the issue with the garage door as they were not aware that it was not fixed. Adding one star for the proactive phone call, and will add another once they follow through with our requests. EDIT 11/8/15: Well it's November now and haven't heard anything else about the garage door, still no fix. Also, my townhome has had a flea infestation for the past month. My roommate and I are clean and have no pets or rodents, so the only way we would have fleas is if they come in from outside or from the neighbor's. We brought this to the attention of the office and they made us wait two weeks for an exterminator. Even after the exterminator, the fleas returned. We vacuum at least once per week as per their instructions but the fleas will not go away. My legs are covered in flea bites. I'm taking back my star I gave them in September, and am counting down the days until I can move out of this place.
Horrible management, maintenance doesn't know what they're doing, and so many late nights being woken up by police asking about gun shots. We had some damage done to our carpets from a water leak and our dogs, they banged our renter's insurance, kept our security deposit, and sued for additional damages. They also blamed us for damages that were done to the unit before we ever moved in and claimed they lost our damage report paperwork, that tune changed when we showed them time stamped photos detailing the previous damages and all the repairs we made before moving out. Avoid this place like the plague!!
Terri is a big fake lier and a horrible person, COLLEGE STUDENTS especially International Students STAY AWAY from this place. They try to get money from you in any way possible, we lived there and we knew some international students who did as well and we all got scammed after 2-3 years of living there. They kept charging us for the damage that we didn't even do and caused multiple problems over the months including charging us 200$ for not taking out trash on time even if our trash was empty!! They even filed to the credit agencies without informing us. I should have read the reviews before moving in!! Stay away from this place guys, there are a lot more better places in Wichita!!!
I have been living here for over a year. I love talking to Kim Seeley in the office. She’s always helpful and has a positive attitude. Today Chris Roberts came into do maintenance on the house. He’s kind and a hard worker. He did a quick and efficient job. Very thorough. I never have to worry about whether I’m going to have it redone because he always does the job right the first time.
I signed a 10 month lease at Parkview, I am grateful it was not any longer than that; The experience was VERY POOR. Maintenance requests were not handled timely, my garage was off track and unusable for two weeks before my work request was addressed. Most days the posted office hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. but the staff was seldom present during those hours. There seemed to be a constant staff turnover, reducing resident privacy, increasing disorganization, and providing poor service. I submitted a typed and signed notice to vacate the premises more than 30 days prior to my lease expiration. I vacated my unit and submitted my key before the final day of my lease. Management lost my letter and put out a collection against me. They stated that I could not afford the rent and remained in the unit past my lease agreement. This information was inaccurate and never provided to them. Interesting fact is I moved into a BIGGER property with a HIGHER monthly payment because the rent was being raised and the property was not worth the new rate.
This is the husband of Aaliyah, well I've been deployed to Korea for the last 4 months and was alerted by my wife that they have broken items in the house such as the toilets not flushing and downstairs the bathroom ceiling began to fall apart when we moved in and so on and so forth. We have asked them to fix it multiple times yet never get the correct results they charge absolutely way to much 1000 dollars a month is ridiculous I've bought houses and paid rent for houses way nicer for less. They've taken advantage of use from the beginning. When she was unable to pay for part of the rent they complained to my chain of command almost costing me my job even when i fall under the Army Civil Relief Act that we are responsible for the whole lease when the Act stated above clearly defines and breaks the lease. I couldn't even submit this without giving them a star that they don't deserve. Oh and don't let Susan or Terry tell you that they support military and that one of them was a military spouse total b.s. liar.
