Perrot State Park is good for hiking, camping, x-country skiing. There is a boat launch. There are showers, toilets and drinking water for campers. The water has high nitrate levels so pregnant or nursing mothers should bring bottled water. Campers can choose from no electrical service, electrical service or camper sites. There is no swimming beach but you can rent canoes and kayaks very inexpensively. There is not a playground. You need a state park sticker for your car which is $25 for the year or $8 for the day. If your family has two vehicles, the second yearly sticker is $15. The rangers are friendly and helpful. It is worth asking them questions, because they will provide extensive answers to all your questions. Campsite bookings are done through a third party call-in service located on the east coast of the US. It is a shame they could not hire a local company; however, the operators are very proficient at their job. Yo pay a service fee for this.

Amazing state park with many great trails ranging from easy to difficult. Beautiful views no matter which trail you choose, you'll always have a glimpse of The Mississippi and some fascinating rock formations. I came in the winter but can only imagine how even more beautiful it would be in the summer or fall. I saw they have camping along with kayak and canoe rentals. Very nice park, even able to pay an hourly rate to enter versus a day pass.

This is a beautiful park in any season. The obviously favorite tail is Brady's trail. It takes you to the highest point where there's a small look out shelter. But there are many other trails I recommend you try. The Riverview trail is relatively easy and flat. If you want more of a longer harder hike, I recommend starting back by maintenance shed and hike the cross country ski trails. These are off limits to hikers in the winter so go in the fall when the leaves are changing.

You need to buy a daily or yearly pass to get in, but it's worth it! We keep coming back and have come just for the day to do hiking or kayaking or for the weekend to camp as well. Beautiful area.

Incredible state park. We hiked the Brady's bluff trail. The views are breathtaking. My 9nand 7 year old had no problem making the loop.
