Petland Discounts - Southbury

I had fish in my fish tank for a year, I bought 4 fish from this store and all my existing fish died off and now every time I try to add fish to the tank they die. This was not an issue until after I bought the fish from this store. Do not buy fish from here they sell diseased fish.

Smelly and small. Rotating staff - sometimes friendly and knowledgeable, sometimes rude and lazy. It's different every time I go. Fairly pricey but cheaper than Pet Valu at the other end of town, and sometimes you just can't wait for Amazon or have the time to drive to a bigger town to a megastore. Call ahead if you need something specific. Easily located in the Shop Rite plaza.

New management has changed this store around - use it primarily for fish, plants and tank support. Kudos to Roger !

I love the personal feel. They make an effort to remember who you are and what you need when you walk in the door.
