Pinchers

I usually love Pincher's and come here every time I am in town. The atmosphere is great for a yummy relaxed meal. This past visit, I was with two of my friends. We are all young but over the age of 21. We ordered margarita's and an appetizer when she came to our table. She inspected our IDs for an uncanny amount of time, but finally approved them. When our appetizer came, my friend asked for silverware (so we could eat), and the server looked at her like she was crazy for asking for silverware at a restaurant. She brought us some but didn't seem happy about it. I ordered my meal (a Grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese) and it seemed like she had the hardest time understanding what I wanted... Throughout our meal she didn't check on us or refill our drinks (though she passed by on multiple occasions). She seemed like she definitely did not care about the level of customer service and satisfaction that was delivered. My friends and I still tipped her like we normally would have, but it would've been appreciated if she would've treated us like normal customers and at least been a little friendly.

This is one of my favorite places to eat when visiting Tin City in downtown Naples Florida. Decent food and drinks great reviews of the harbor area with a lot of tourist shopping adjacent to the restaurant itself. There is plenty of seating however it can be very crowded during our season. Finding a place to park though is usually difficult.

We come to tin city every time we visit Naples. Pinchers is a must. Delicious sea food in a casual laid back atmosphere right on the dock. Great views depending on where you sit. There's usually a wait but it's easy to kill time walking around tin city.

I have to admit that I am hoping that this place has been better to other people. After having crab legs at another restaurant, I was excited for more seafood. I love seafood! Our server did not want to work there, you can tell he hated his job. One person in our party said that he had worked there too long because he didn't have to look at the menu to read off everything in his head. We ordered the 2-4-1 Margaritas and they were great. Not in the normal glass and also looked a little small. We pretty much said that they were half a margarita, so we each had two. We had the Hot Crab & Cheese Dip as recommended by the server. As our server was not there, our plate of dip was delivered by someone else. The actual crab dip was okay. I thought that it said spicy, it was not. Not much of a crab flavor either. It seemed like it was mostly cheese but it was good. It was something to eat while we had our drinks waiting for the meal. With a party of three, one ordered the shrimp, one ordered fish and I ordered the crab sandwich. I figured it would be like a breaded crab meat on a patty. I love crab so I was excited try this. The meal took forever to arrive. Now, we know that it was busy but oddly enough tables were coming and going, so maybe something was not going well with our order. The manager did come by to check on us and at that point we should have said something but I did not want to complain. Finally our food arrive by someone other than our server. Everything looked great. My crab sandwich though had a pungent ammonia fish smell. Someone in my party asked if I was really going to eat that as it did not smell right. I said that I was on a mission to experience different restaurants and bit into it. Sadly, that is when everything went wrong. My stomach immediately started to heave and everything went in a napkin. I was so embarrassed and I had tears pretty much coming down my face. The crab was bad. I have had different types of crab and have never had this effect before. The party I was with was worried that I was going to lose my stomach on them. After I settled down the server came over and someone in my party explained that the crab was bad and I think that he had seen the napkin crumbled up and offered to remove the meal from the tab. We had coupons for free desert but at that point I wanted to leave as I was so embarrassed. Someone had given be a part of their fish to calm my stomach down. After everyone was done eating I paid the bill and got out of there. Not all that great of service and bad crab. I am not sure that I would be able to visit there again. On a side note, the server that was across from us seemed like the best server. People were leaving and getting hugs. He seemed to love his job.

Pretty nice restaurant. Authentic style with okay views. Food was good and so is location. Staff was great
