Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

I would give them no stars but I can’t. Simple human interaction goes a long way. The customer service is horrible. I was ignored because they wanted to close an hour early. I would have been ok with it if I wasn’t ignored and treated so poorly. I like to think people common courtesy and have lives outside of working at Popeyes too but apparently customers don’t matter for the job. I don’t necessarily want to work sometimes either but I do what I have to do to maintain and respect of others.

I liked the restaurant, I liked the service and I thought the place was clean. I ordered chicken strips and...I don't know how to describe it exactly, but the chicken was wrong. They were too thin, not satisfying at all... the breading to chicken ratio, there wasn't enough chicken. I understand companies don't want to raise prices, but if I can't get good food, I won't come back, even if it's cheap.

I've never had a good experience with the food here. The chicken was so "juicy" it was actually squirting some fluid whenever I bit into it, that was disgusting. Almost every bite I've taken from the chicken was almost entirely biting into only fat. The biscuits are severely dry and the gravy has a weird after taste. Only good thing was the soda fountain.

Popeye's has good chicken. That's about it. And the debate can be had about whether what amounts to about half a chicken breast plus fries and a drink is worth $8.49, but you can see that going in. The sides are underwhelming. This particular location was lacking in customer service. When we entered, there was a mass of people in front of the counter, and one staff member behind it. It was immediately clear no one knew what was going on, and it wasn't until one group got their food that he started taking more orders. There were other staff members milling around in the back that probably could have expedited proceedings. The soda station was disgusting, the tables were dirty, and I'm pretty sure a member of staff was charging their vaporizer batteries on a table in the dining area. They were apparently completely out of their "Twisted chicken" special, which is a bit lame. If the company is running an ad blitz for a specific deal, you'd think they could manage to keep the food in stock at one of the few restaurants in the state. To summarize, Popeye's as a chain is underwhelming, but if you absolutely have to eat there, you should probably keep driving and go to a different one.

10:10 pm. Sign said closed at 11pm. Lobby closed. Drive through only. 15 minutes in a drive through with only 1 person in front of us. Lots of money for cold, dry chicken and small portion size. Maybe service changes during peak hours but value... Probably not..
