Amazing food and fantastic service. Everything that we ordered was incredible tasty and so beautifully served. The attention was very good. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated on a holiday weekend so not bad at all. The house is beautiful and they also have a nice greenhouse with herbs and vegetables. I will definitely go back.

We received a strong recommendation to Primo from some friends. We made reservations with great anticipation for a wonderful experience. We were partially rewarded. We arrived at 6:50 for a 7:30 reservation. We were not aware that the restaurant adhered strictly to 2 hour seatings, even though there were tables available. Upon our return at 7:20, we were seated promptly. Our salad was fresh and crisp with a lovely light dressing. The bread was fresh baked, with three different varieties. The king salmon I ordered was exceptionally moist and tasty. I can't say the same for my wife's shrimp scampi, which she considered mediocre. Duncan our server was knowledgeable and prompt. The ambience which was energetic was too noisy for us. The meal was not worth the high prices and relative lack of flexibility of the hostess. We won't be returning.

Food was outstanding. Service great. Nice wine list. We went without a reservation, but I'd suggest getting one. Really a can't miss if you're in town.

I've wanted to go to Primo for a few years now and we finally got the chance. I had made a reservation for our group of eight prior to the restaurant opening in the season and unfortunately it was lost but the staff were able to accommodate us – their efforts were much appreciated.
Primo is on the expensive side but not unreasonably so. They use as many local ingredients as possible, including produce and livestock raised on the adjacent farm that is owned by the restaurant. All of our meals, drinks, and desserts were excellent. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. The reservation mixup meant we were seated upstairs, which was a bit of a blessing because it gave us access to tapas and oysters that are not available in the main floor dining room.
As a bit of a bonus, we ran into our bartender, waiter, a line cook, and the sous chef at a nearby bar afterwards. They were friendly and eager to chat about the restaurant. It was obvious they really enjoyed their work and were happy to hear that we loved it as well. Highly recommended!

The delights are without end... service is beyond excellent...menu choices appealing to any taste or mood. I think Primo simply gets better with time...and each time...that seems unimaginable. Softshell crab... Pemaquid oysters...red baby kale salad...I'm stuffed to the gills with glorious farm to table fare. This is the best of Midcoast Maine.
