The ramen was yummy and broth flavorful. My kiddo who is not into soups like the fried noodles with crunchy peppers. You have to sign up and wait your turn since the place is small and can only accommodate a few people at a time. I liked that they have the chili oil and condiments lined up so you can add what you want in your food. We really enjoyed the delicious food.
There was always a line and we waited 30-60 min to get a seat. However, the oxtail ramen was very plain and disappointing. Firstly, it didn't have much flavor, especially the oxtail. Second, the oxtail was not very good quality - some pieces were very fatty and overwhelmingly oily. The fried rice and gyoza were better but still didn't worth waiting that long. Overall very ordinary food. In addition, there was no restroom so it is definitely not a good place if you are looking for a decent dinner. Super small space and not very good experience.
Amazing ramen! If you are thinking if heading back because you are tired of waiting, think twice. Because this place is definitely worth it!! The line moves slowly due to limited seating capacity, but the staffs friendliness and the taste of food makes up for it.
We came at around 5 pm and there was no line. The place was pretty much empty so it’s definitely a great time to come. I’m not impressed with the ox tail ramen at all. It’s a thinner type of broth compared to normal ramen. I usually like the thin broth but this ox tail ramen is not something I would go back or crave for. The taste is very bland. The spicy option is just adding chili flakes to the soup. The garlic fried rice was not tasteful. The only plus side is the food and service were fast. I don’t think this is worth a visit if you’re in town.
The ramen taste sooo good, not very salty as other ramen. Except the food, service is definitely worth a 5 stars. Everyone is very nice and I can see their smile all the time even they wearing masks. Definitely will go back again and again. It always has a waiting line outside, but it worth to wait.
Even though the seating is very limited the food is fantastic. Waiting times can go between 30 min to 1 hour or a little longer over the weekend nights. Try the oxtail spicy noodles soup or the fry noodles. You won't regret it. !! Highly recommended. Features: No required to present COVID vaccination card as of 25 March 2022. No mask required anymore while seating and not actively eating. Space is limited but they mitigated the solution by using plexiglass between groups. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian option are not for vegans.
Craving for Ramen? This place is the place. There are only 20 seats in an U shape. Prepare to wait at least 30+ minutes. They have movable partitions to accommodate each party for extra health awareness. The oxtail spicy ramen is a must try. Good dipping sauce for the chunky oxtail. Yummy! My family got shoyu ramen and they loved it. Not too heavy and clear with excellent taste. They do accept credit cards now.
Busy little Japanese restaurant. You only have 40 minutes for you to eat and enjoy your meal. The Fried rice was The Giozas were fresh and crispy I had tried a lot ramen in Cali, all good and rich in flavor. This time here in Honolulu I tried the Oxtail Spicy specialty, it was good and dense. The broth flavor was really good. I loved the ginger touch very much. I would have preferred more oxtails in my ramen because they were tender and flavorful, taking in consideration the $28 bowl, I was expecting more meat. If you don't have this opportunity where you live, do it here! Total party of three $100 with tip. No liquor available. Features: Staff were wearing masks. Sanitizer available. Dividers between seating.
This quaint little place made me feel like I was sitting in a Japanese restaurant. The service was great. The food was amazing. 8 had the fried noodles. 8t was feah and flavorful. Prices are also very fair.Food: 5/5
Last visited 10 years ago and the Raman is still delicious. The ox tail Raman is still tender and flavorful. The spicy raman was not very spicy but still very good. Great rice and fried gyoza. Limited seating with about a 20 minute wait. Clear, plastic, dividers between parties. No alcohol sold and there is a 40 minute max for dinner. So eat and get out! Very friendly and efficient staff. Once you order expect your food within 5 to 10 minutes. We enjoy this place very much.
