Congenital Dermal Melanocytosis (also known as Mongolian Spots) are bluish birthmarks that are common in non-caucasian infants and generally disappear by age four. My son and daughter both have them as they run in the family. The ladies at Kid Fit thought they were bruises and called DCFS. The manager refused to address the fact that they jumped to conclusions without asking any questions and lied to gain personal information under false pretenses... So if you aren't 100% white and your kids have Mongolian Spots, keloid scars, or anything else ethnic I would print off some light reading from WebMD for the ladies of Kid Fit (unless of course you like having social workers from DCFS show up on your door)
