We are so fortunate to have a local music school in the town of Westport (The Connecticut School of Music) that is affiliated with a music store/ rental company in nearby Norwalk.  The Rental Instrument LLC carries a wide range of both band and string instruments, giving local families the great opportunity to select the instrument of their choice.  It’s a one stop shop as they also provide the  books and all other accessories that the schools require (they have been working with the different public schools for a long time that they know what each school would require with each instrument).  You can pick up your instrument in Westport or you can take the short drive to Norwalk to get it.  What’s more?  They can deliver for free to schools in both Westchester and Fairfield Counties and even to some private schools in New York City!  Both companies, the school and the rental, are owned by Ken Kuo, a world-renowned Cellist and he takes the business seriously.  He is not only renting out instruments, he is also passing on his passion for music to the youth. He has a team of musicians and technicians who take very good care of each instrument they rent out so you are assured that you are getting a well-loved pre-rented instrument.  Their house brand of instruments are made especially for them.  Think of it as like getting a certified pre-owned car direct from the dealership!  In the event that your rented instrument breaks during your contract, their in-house technicians can repair it in no time.  Their price is very competitive and they have a big inventory of instruments and accessories so you’re guaranteed they have what you need.  No need to shop around.  You can even fill out a rental contract online, from the comforts of your home.  This is about as good as it gets.  That’s a promise!
