My stay at the Sheraton Grand in Dubai was outstanding. The hotel was lovely, the restaurant great and most importantly the staff was concerned, helpful, and gracious.

May 16, 2016 I want to first off by saying that this stay for one night was very stressful at the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor! We checked into our “upgraded” room given to us by Nelly, which was not comfortable at all. We originally had an issue with our stay on Valentine’s Day, with the TV, refrigerator, noise, shower pressure and water temperature. We had to constantly call the maintenance guy (Rachel), I believe his name is. We felt that he was spending our entire Valentine’s Day with us in the room. He tried his best to fix everything that was wrong with the room, but it was just annoying to not be able to relax. These stays that I book at the Sheraton are supposed to be relaxing for us and to get away from the busy work life. We then explained this to management (Nelly) and she said that she would “upgrade” us the next time that we stayed there. I was hesitant to stay again at a place that we couldn’t relax. We had our 2 year anniversary coming up on May 15th, so I decided to take Nelly up on the offer and contact her to try a second time to stay at the Sheraton Lincoln Harbor. We checked in our room and then we went out for a while and came back, we were ready to go to bed, when there was no A/C in the bedroom. We call the front desk and they send up (Rachel) up to assist us again, we laughed with him because he remembered us from last time and we jokingly said are you spending our anniversary with us also? He told us that the room # 606 and all rooms above and below it had no A/C working. We were very annoyed because it was now midnight and we just wanted to relax. He told us that there was nothing that he could do because he couldn’t fix it. We called the front desk again and Christina said that she would move us to another room that was available with working A/C. The fact that we had to pack all of our belonging s and get out of bed to move to another room at midnight was very frustrating to say the least. She apologized and gave us 2 complimentary breakfasts at the restaurant and advised us to mention this situation to Nelly. I do not understand why you would put someone that you know had an issue last time, in a room that had no working A/C?? It doesn’t make a good second impression at all. We went to bed, woke up the next morning went to breakfast and the wait staff there was horrible. They looked so unorganized; we were greeted by 4 different people to then have the manager seat us while we were just standing there. Our waiter was a guy with black and greyish hair that was ignoring our requests for tea and the way that we wanted certain items cooked for our meal. He kept insisting that the cook could not cook something a certain way, instead of being accommodating and see if it could be done; it was just a straight NO! We are not people to complain about things at all, but when you have an issue the first stay and then are invited back by the manager for a second stay, and it is just as worse as the first, it doesn’t make any sense why we would return again. It was supposed to be a special night to relax and it turned out to be even more stressful with all the issues. I really hope that someone from corporate sees this message and addresses it accordingly, because it shouldn’t be how guests should be treated at all. I felt that I had to negotiate to get the room at a lower price for our second stay on May 15th with Nelly, instead of her just accommodating us for the first stay that was horrible. I honestly felt that I just wasted more money on this stay and it was the same experience all over again. I have always stayed at the Sheraton in Mahwah and the experience is very different. I even booked 2 hotels for our California trip, that I am already worrying about, because of these past experiences. The other supervisor “G” was accommodating about giving us a refrigerator and microwave that we had requested.
