It is a casino "resort" with a casino, three restaurants, a hotel, a gift shop and a spa. There are additional amenities such as a pool, jacuzzi, business center, cardio workout area and lots of convenient parking near Davenport IA.
To be fair, each element should be reviewed separately. The hotel is great with nice large rooms and amenities befitting a classy property. Perhaps it is the hotel part that turns the property into a "resort". The pool and the restaurants will keep the young ones (below gambling age) happy while other can spend time in the casino.
Talking of the casino, I was there on a, not so busy, evening. It seemed very clean and well run establishment with ample opportunities for several different types of games and of course, ever present slots. If one enjoys gambling, this could be a nice place for the vice.
Their ground floor bars and restaurants only seem mediocre. The appear to have great staff but not so great product. I went for dinner at Robert's Buffet. Great service and staff but only pedestrian mass produced food. The coffee that can keep a casino visitor going throughout the premises is barely drinkable. Classy dining is available at the top floor, Ruth's steak house.
I did not go to the spa but it seemed quite nice with reasonable prices. The gift shop is good and has some merchandise worth buying, not just overpriced trinkets like many others. The pools are great and family friendly.
There are venues for special performances and for entertainment events. None were scheduled when I was there. Additional event spaces for corporate meetings are available, as well.
All in all, there is quite a bit more to happen here before it becomes truly a destination. Rhythm City is a great start.

Went to have a good night out with friends but never made it past the reception!!!
We were not allowed in because we did not have any evidence in the form of visa to have been legitimately been granted entry into the United States!! I am Black British holding a British Passport same as my friend with a Swedish one. These countries do not require visa to enter the US hence why we had no stamps in our passports.
We were told it is the hotel policy to see an entry stamp in travel documents. We at first thought it was out of ignorance of the attendant who called for his supervisor/manager who took his time to stroll to us and then confirmed same. In our dismay and attempt to clarify, he took the authoritative tone of 'I am not here to argue with you Sirs but that is out policy ...' !!!! I even implored him to just google it up and see in the list of countries that do not require visa to visit the US, to no avail.
Given the nature of the business, should there not be adequate knowledge on countries that have exemptions if proof of legitimate entry is a requirement to use the facility ...? How can a policy for a public facility be designed to 'exclude by default' in this day and age?
This may just be one small cry but begs looking into by the business owners and maybe some other regulatory authorities.

On a recent visit I wanted to go to the gift shop but it was closed due to an employee calling in sick. No one could open the shop and I had to leave, and I do not live close by, so I cannot always get there. I made a complaint and upper management did address the issue. They went out of their way to show me that they DO care about customer service and I was greatly impressed. There are a lot of casinos around and I am picky as where I will go, especially if I feel that the customer service is really good. Too many times you will run into an issue and ask someone to help only to get the "brush off" at these casinos, especially when they are busy. I was happy when Lea contacted me and went out of her way to try to resolve the issue. Thank you, Lea! This casino does have a lot to offer and I am glad they really do try to keep the customers happy.
