Wild Rose Casino & Resort

Part of my job is to travel in the Easter Iowa area and rate facilities from food, friendly staff, drinks, Etc. I had a great experience at the casino/ Hotel and loved everything about it! The only thing I would recommend is a deep bathroom clean. I am sure you have a janitor service that does great but something that really gets in the places no one wants to clean. I wish you luck on finding someone to do this for you! My brother in law maybe able to help if interested he works in that industry. Thank you and keep up the great work!

My husband and I tend to go here every so often when we are vacationing near by. I must say we had a lot of fun! There are a variety of games that anyone can play. We've even stayed a few times in the hotel and have enjoyed our stay. The resturant and buffet are excellent as well. Nice big portions you could even share. However, the minute you walk in the door you are overwhelmed by the smoke smell. It is everywhere. There were ashtrays over flowing in between the machine areas, ashes on the machines, as well as on the floor. I understand from a non smoker that I probably pick up the odor a lot more than others but it was to the point I kept trying to catch my breath. I think the casino staff could do a much better job of cleaning. All I kept seeing was them dump out the ashes and put the same ashtray right back. Is there a way to possibly filter the air better to control the scent? Or create designated areas for smokers/non smokers. It needs a good overall sanitizing.

We were only there for the traveling 911 memorial which was outside, thank goodness. This place REAKS like cigarettes!! It slaps you in the face the minute you walk through the door. We have always been told how good tje food is, but, I would never go there to eat.

Small but real nice and people very friendly. Room was clean , buffet that night was fried chicken and side dishes with salad bar for $5.99. Can't beat it and we won some money to boot. Will definitely go there again.

Nice little casino, but they do not give any free play unless you beg them. I live 2 hours away and cannot get up there every week. It would be nice if they would understand this and get their host to call people like me and ask when I might be coming up, then offer the free play. I have played enough there to earn free play and each time I have been there, nothing on my card. I went to the host both times and felt like a beggar. Yesterday he gave me a paltry $10. I invested another $200 which lasted about 10 minutes and decided enough, I am going to Rhythm City as they give me $60/week in free play. Only the first time that I went there did I like it as the machines seemed to pay something and I was able to play for a while on the money I invested. I have been back probably 3 more times, all quick losses. The Coach restaurant was okay but there were a LOT of employees just standing around talking to each other while I waited for service.I would like to continue going to Wild Rose, but there really is no incentive. In my opinion, have the casino hosts do a better job and motivate people like me to come out by offering a day of comps since I live farther away. I play a lot and in all the casinos in Iowa. I make a lot of money so I have the money to play, but I like the comps and will not spend my gambling budget where I have to beg for comps.
