Prairie Meadows Casino, Racetrack, & Hotel

Prairie Meadows is a very nice horse race track and Casino. There is a restaurant where they have a buffet and though the restaurant is very clean, I feel like they should be able to provide more of a variety of foods than what they offer. (They should take a look at Ameristar in Kansas City to better their variety of food offered). There is also a steak house there, which I really enjoyed eating at. Also, they have a beautiful hotel to stay at. The hotel is very nice and very clean. We definitely will stay there again.

Large selection of games. Bartenders were nice. Definitely not a place to get drunk. They watch you like a hawk if you order more than a beer or wine!! I didn't mind that. Keeps drunks outta there. But would be nice to not get the "eye"! Very clean. From the hotel it's a little bit of walk to ţo the casino, but it was all indoor. Trace track looked beautiful. I wish the gift shop had a larger selection of items. For such a large casino, higher end products would've been perfect!! Big winners like nicer products!!

We were there for a conference. It was very easy to locate, parking was plentiful and easy to navigate. The center itself was very clean, large, and quiet! Since it is right off of I 80 I expected road noise like at other facilities, but there was none! Lunch was delicious, hot and plentiful. Service was excellent. The only negative was the audio visual equipment seemed difficult to use for the presenters, all of them. Would love to have more conferences at this location.

The gambling is okay, however you will pay an arm and a leg for drinks. For the cost of 8 cocktails you can get yourself a ticket to Vegas for better odds, better comps, and free drinks. They definitely have a captive audience, but the smart gambler should look elsewhere.

Prime rib buffet was good, not worth it to get the crab extra though. My bf got it and while they were quick to serve it at the table, it was over cooked to the point when the shells were too soft to crack and get a majority of the meat out. Even when he asked the waiter for the fresh ones and explained why they were the same. Otherwise it was really good! Get the tiramisu! Lovely hotel, clean and the casino was fun too!
