Holiday Inn & Suites Des Moines-Northwest

This was one of many stays at this hotel and I have stayed in a few different rooms. I have always had a great experience at this location and as a Spire member I am recognized for the loyalty, given a room upgrade usually arranged before I arrived, and beverages and snack from the restaurant. I also have hosted a reunion with friends in their NEWLY renovated Penthouse. I was one of the first guest to BOOK this room after its renovation and it was BEAUTIFUL. I had a great time there and overall just really enjoy using this location for work or leisure.

This is a standard Holiday Inn. Food and beverages are served at the adjacent sports bar but can be charged to the room. If you include breakfast in your room rate, it will only cover a basic, limited meal. After the first night, the bathroom was not cleaned and I needed to request this from reception prior to going out to eat. It was still not cleaned properly on my return and I had to ask again. I did get some loyalty points to compensate. Parking is free.

First person I met was Jodi working at the front desk. She was very professional and had great customer service skills. Being the only person at the desk at the time, she was answering phones and checking in guest. In a hurry as she multi tasked, she was not flustered and maintained a high since of service and respect for those she served. Room is clean and the rate was good. Next time I'm in DSM, I'll stay here again.

Attended Des Moines Science Fiction Convention at the hotel. The hotel was kept clean and amenities stocked for the entire weekend. Staff responded quickly to any conference room temperature issues and quickly addressed them. Very excellent staff.

I really enjoy staying there. The rooms are are and comfortable also the staff is great they go out of their way to make your stay good.
