Best Western Plus Des Moines West Inn & Suites

Very nice facility in an area of numerous hotels. We had a suite with a hot tub and it was very clean and nice. Are only caveats to not writing it as a 5 would be the equipment in the room one chair was broken and dangerous, and the floors not being carpeted we're a bit slippery. People were very accommodating, busy time so not able to be responsive. The exit door on the far end of the building did not work properly so it was necessary to walk all the way around the building each time one went in and out to the car. That was a little inconvenient.

Nice surprise! Older hotel in great shape. Rooms are large with tile bathrooms and wood tile floors in entry way. Breakfast has everything you could ask for. Food is tasty and hot. Bathroom big with a strong shower head. TV even had HBO. Mattress sleeps good and AC works well. Would stay again.

My work in the past five years has involved a great deal of travel. I have had the opportunity to stay in a large number of hotels and motels. The Best Western Inn and Suites in Des Moines (Clive) Iowa is right at the top of my list in quality of experience. This is a well maintained property with pleasant comfortable rooms at reasonable rates. The breakfast area is most pleasant with good choices and well taken care of. There is ample parking and a choice of restaurants within easy walking distance.

Great location with lots of shopping and restaurants. Clean, family friendly. Wonderful breakfast every time we have been there. We stay in Clive and we are able to easily travel to both Iowa State and Drake to visit our daughters in school.

Ideal hotel if you are needing a pet friendly place to stay. They charge extra for the pet and have specific rooms for those with pets. The room we had was ground floor and had no carpet, which was perfect for a pet friendly room. Lots of variety for the continental breakfast and plenty of hot food. The bed was hard, but the room was clean and spacious, and the price was decent.
