Huge, massive, beautiful facility which is staffed by friendly, helpful, and kind workers and volunteers. There is so much going on here: a big gift shop is right by the front entrance, followed by the adoption area, with tons more upstairs. Cats are to the right; dogs to the left. Upstairs you'll find a library room, meeting rooms, a huge birthday party suite, and a massive indoor exercise and training yard for dogs. The staff are wonderful and will help you find the right pet for you. A truly special place to adopt, or to volunteer your time, money, and energy.

Every staff member obviously loves animals, they treat them as their own! My roommate and I used to foster cats and kittens for them! It was very easy to get started and they always had felines ready for respite!

They are a good group of people. I'd take agility classes there if it weren't so far away from my home. If you really want a pet and don't see a match, tell what your home and family are like, state breeds, coat type you don't want, and ask whether they think they have a match for you. The one thing I don't like about this place is the parking lot. The spaces and lanes are narrow so it is difficult to maneuver with a minivan that doesn't have a tight turn radius. Drivers also go the wrong way in the one-way lanes, probably because they couldn't maneuver their vehicles any other way in the tight spaces. It helps no one when one minivan meets head on the another going the wrong way.

We adopted a 1 year old black lab mix. The adoption process was easy and staff were helpful. We also took part in training classes which I would highly recommend to anyone who's interested. This is a wonderful place.

Amazing organization that saves thousands of lives and helps the community with their pets as well. Also, great place for birthday parties, camp, and has a cute gift store.
