Upon entering the store l was immediately greeted and offered assistance. Decorating my home is overwhelming to me and a task l do not normally enjoy. Needless to say l had the best time. The associates are all interior designers and made this so much fun. I went home with several beautiful options and fabric samples to look at in my home and l will be returning this week to place my order. If you are in the market for custom draperies, bedding and just about anything made with fabric this is the one stop shop to go to. I can not say enough about Robyn’s Fabrics!

I apologize for the length of this review but I hope it will provide good insight into this business you are considering……We moved into the Charlotte Metro area from Fairfax VA. On this move we looked to downsize and sold a lot of our furniture but decided to keep an expensive set of swain couches because of the quality and look of the set. Unfortunately the color of the couches did not match our new color scheme and being 10 years old, the material was rather outdated and looked it, so we decided to reupholster them. We explored numerous fabric centers in the area but found the quality of selections to be limited and the layout of the stores set up like warehouses that were so cluttered, it was difficult to view their fabric selections. During our search, a friend recommended Robyns Fabrics and upon entering the business we were cheerfully greeted by the owner Barbara, who introduced us to her staff and walked us through the store to provide a layout of the store’s selections. They assisted us as a team in choosing a fabric and throughout the process we found them very responsive in their follow up and commitments. Robyns had a true ‘retail’ fabric showroom not a warehouse with a large on site selection, organized in a manner that made it easy to see and feel a variety of materials from a large number of loom manufacturers. Robyns was also a one stop shop with an exclusive upholsterer as well as delivery/pick up service. Once we chose our fabric, Cara made the order and when the fabric came in, arranged to pick up our furniture. Their upholster did an excellent job covering the furniture but after a few months we had problems with the material we chose wrinkling and not staying tight on the cushions. We sent photos to Barbara, and with no excuses or pushback, she acknowledged our problem and had the couches picked up to have the issue resolved. After the upholster and Barbara reviewed our issue, we received one of the most customer centric gestures we have ever experienced from ANY business we’ve dealt with as a consumer. We received a call from Barbara apologizing that the fabric was not fitting, nor wearing as they felt it would or should. She then asked us to come in and choose a new fabric and informed us they were going to recover the couches with a new fabric, NO CHARGE!! It was during the holidays so they brought the couches back to our home to have over the holiday period. In choosing a new fabric, Barbara gave us no pricing restrictions, nor did we have to choose from a selected category of fabrics to control the cost on what we chose. They were very patient in working with us to choose a new fabric and as soon as the fabric we chose came in, they picked up the couches from our home and gave a estimated time that they would be redelivered. They quickly re-covered the couches and in addition, fulfilled a request we had to have the cushions cut down and re-stuffed to give the couches a more contemporary look. Since we made the request, we expected and would have been happy to pay for the additional work, but again, NO CHARGE! The moral of this review is this: If you want to do business with a company that stands behind their work, provide an excellent selection and cares about their clients/customers, Robyn’s Fabrics & Custom Design is a must for having your furniture reupholstered. Oh, I forgot to speak about another most important concern of the transaction, ‘their pricing’ was very fair and for the quality of fabrics, experience and service you will receive, you will be VERY happy to write the check.

After driving to over 30 minutes to get to this store, I was utterly disappointed. Upon walking in no one greeted me or offered assistance. I walked through the store for at least 20 minutes it’s not a big location and still no acknowledgement from a single staff member. I will not return nor recommend a place with such poor customer service.

Overpriced and HORRIBLE Customer Service. The two ladies working didn’t even offer to help us. Not even a greeting when we walked in. Shameful people are so lazy nowadays. I was set to spend some money too. Nope. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I have had a terrific experience at Robyn's Fabrics and have already highly recommended them to several people. I've ordered several drapes and never been let down. They are professional, meticulous and all around a great bunch of people to work with.

Ordered curtain rod from the store and they told me that they will curt to the length I want. Found out that they did a bad job at cutting the rod or drill the hole straight! The owner had to order another rod for me. It turned out that still same problem. The male employee in the store is extremely unfriendly!!! Call me picky and keep telling the owner is not here and it is not his business!!! Wow, what type of customer service!!! Worst customer experience in my life!!! I would rate it zero star if I could!!!

We’ve used Robyn’s several times over the past 12 years, and will continue to use them! Page & Kara are talented & patient in their design advice, John’s installations are meticulous, & the quality of the finished product is always superior to anything we’ve been able to find elsewhere.

I recently had valances and shams made, and I am very happy with the outcome. The people here are courteous and friendly. I would recommend them.
