Sakura Japanese Steakhouse

Excellent as always. Last year we started a trip to Sakura as our new Easter tradition in the family. This time there were 20 of us. The chefs are always fun. Yes - we've seen the shtick over and over but they still make it fun - and the food is always incredible. You'll pay quite a bit per person ($25 - $30) but you'll also take home a couple meals worth of leftovers per person. So it's well worth it.

Wow! Great variety! I love that the food is fresh and there's so much variety to choose from. I was very impressed. I want to come back just to experience more that place has to offer. I am forsure bringing guests to this place, so much to see and eat!

The service was fast and friendly, which was quite a surprise to me. I was told to expect a 45 minute wait, but I was seated right away and in less than a minute the waiter came to take our drinks. It only took a couple of minutes to get our appetizer and right when we were finishing our appetizers, our main course came out. The food was good but not great. The flavors were nothing special, pretty normal Japanese food. My biggest disappointment is the spice. I ordered spicy yellow tale sushi and Singapore fried noodles. Both were supposed to be spicy, but they didn't even have a tiny bit of spice. I would have appreciated just a little kick in a dish that was supposed to be spicy. The price was very reasonable. For 2 appetizers and 2 entrees, I spent about $35. And both of us had enough leftovers to box up for lunch the next day. I'd say that's a very good deal. Excellent service, descent food and a great price.

Great friendly atmosphere and very attentive staff. The Hibachi is fabulous. I've enjoyed the sushi dozens of times and it's always fantastic. I can't say enough good things about Sakura.

The service, atmosphere and restaurant were all fine. My wife and I sat at the sushi bar and had a nice dinner although we found the sushi to be quite flavorless. It was not bad by any means although, as an example, I couldn’t taste an difference between the tuna, salmon and scallop rolls I ordered. None had much flavor and it was impossible to tell which roll was which. We also ordered to specialty rolls and although they tasted OK neither had the satisfying fresh taste that we have become accustomed to at other sushi restaurants in the area like Mikado and Ju.
