Fusion Japanese but kept some traditional favorite. Decent curry, light tempura batter, but everything else is a little light on the taste side. Volume is acceptable. Service can be hit and miss. I have had good knowledgeable servers and one who doesn't know anything. Overall good find especially for the area. Close to high way. Price is reasonable. Small bar, sometimes it becomes the local hang out with people who like to eat sushi with knifes and forks, enough said.

My husband and I ordered sushi combos as well as calamari salad. The sushi is incredibly delicious. I've been here a few times and haven't found anything yet that didn't taste good. The service is also really good. The hostess greeted us and seemed nice. We we're seated quickly. Our waitress was friendly, made sure our drinks were refilled and food was good. The restaurant was very clean and we really enjoyed eating here.

This place is really nice. I have been eating here since it open. They food is well prepared and comes out quickly. They facility is clean and maintained. I have eaten here 40 or so times and I have never had a complaint. I don't know anyone on the staff personally but they all seem very nice. If you want a nice, calm, and peaceful date night this is a good spot to choose.

The best sushi in Michigan. I've definitely traveled from Ann Arbor just to eat at AKA several times. I'm not sure what it is about all of their sushi but it is addicting. I try something different every time and it all feels like a favorite. Don't be afraid to try something new and don't be afraid to drive a little extra for some of the best sushi.

Was not impressed with AKA, probably will not visit this restaurant again, have had much better sushi at other places. The sushi was above room temp and nothing special, we ordered the chef special supreme. Nothing special for sure. Service was very good, was not the fault of server.
