Sagano Japanese Steakhouse, Brighton

Although some of the reviews indicated a long wait, this was not our experience. We called around 7 p.m. to inquire about the wait time and if they had call-ahead seating, and we were given an 8:00 reservation. There were only 2 of us, and once other people who would be seated at the same table arrived we were all seated. The server was friendly and promptly took our drink orders, and the soups and salads were also prompt. The soup is delicious! If you don't like Ginger, be sure to ask for a different dressing on your salad. Before long our chef arrived, and the real fun began! He was entertaining, pleasant, funny and a little mischievous. I regret not getting his name so I could give him credit here. A group of strangers randomly seated together were soon laughing and dining together as if we knew one another. It was great fun, the food was delicious (and plentiful - you'll have leftovers) and I look forward to dining there again.

Repeat customer. Always been pleased celebrating birthday tonite. Food was fabulous. Wait staff a little rushed. The biggest disappointment was the "silent chef". No show, interaction, BORING....... Update 6/5/18- after posting this review and sending e-mail directly to Sagano's - HAVE NEVER HEARD BACK- Apparently they are living on their declining reputation as others have noted in many reviews

Absolute riot...very busy Valentine's Day Day, however they seated us right away with a great wait staff that was on top of getting drinks and orders. Followed by an absolutely hilarious chef that really made the night fun and interesting. Better than I anticipated, great time. The bartender makes great Long Island Iced Teas :-)

This place is amazing..the chefs were alot of fun. Very nice atmosphere and the food was stupendous. A Little pricier than expected. But we'll worth it.

Went to celebrate my high school graduation. Had a very unruly party seated next to us. Instead of management trying to control the situation, they encouraged the behavior. Couldn’t hear anyone through the whole hour and a half we were there for the meal. Okay, but it was extremely over seasoned. Everything tasted the same. Won’t be returning.
