Truly a place where the owner takes pride in his work. I hadn't been here in a long time, but luckily tagged along with a group at a conference. One of the guys knew the owner, and well, we got the best service ever. The food was amazing and it felt very comfortable. Not intimidating, not stuffy. I love Japanese food but I know some people are nervous about it. Just go. You won't regret it.

Sakura has been a favorite of mine for decades. The nigiri sushi is what will keep you coming back. Reasonably priced and a generous portion. The menu includes many other favorites but the sushi is top notch. Add to this a respectable list of sake and creative cocktails makes the trip to downtown St. Paul worthwhile. And if you live or work downtown.....lucky you to have this classic sushi restaurant nearby.

My wife loves Sakura because I took her on a few dates there when we were dating, my son LOVES the fried Octopus and always gets it with some Miso soup. Has a favorite waitress (Ashley) and my daughter Luna enjoys all the veggies and tempura she can handle. I love Sakura's and am glad they're a staple in our community

We've been going here for years. Sakura always has excellent fresh sushi & the staff treats you like family. You should become a regular customer. You will love it!
