Salsa Brava Fresh Mexican Grill

One of my forever favorites. The food is fresh and flavorful. The service is friendly. We chose to sit on the patio. It was cool and clean. The drink menu is adventurous in itself. I took my niece (7) for lunch and their kids menu had new and familiar items. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. We enjoy it and it's a must every time I visit Colorado Springs.

Good choice of food and beverages. Wait staff is excellent. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is cheerful and colorful. Accommodates small and large parties. Outdoor seating area is screened and can be heated if needed. Plenty of close-by parking, just a few feet away. Always on the short list for our family of reliable local restaurants. Frequent patron "club" offers free treats for birthdays and anniversaries. Owned by the same folks who own Sonterra and Over Easy.

Definitely pricey Mexican food; however, the portion for my steak fajita was generous and tasted wonderful. The steak was tender, onions and peppers cooked perfectly and the rice flavorful. I did not care for the refried beans at all though. The chips were fresh and the salsas delicious. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and while the flavor was spot on, the crushed ice was too big and I couldn't drink it with a straw. The service was a bit slower than I would have liked but the food made up for it. All the meals at our table were plated beautifully and looked amazing.

This is a nice neighborhood restaurant and we have been going there for a long time. It gets pretty crowed at dinner time so go early or expect to wait. I will have to say the flavors of the food has gone down a little over the past few years and the prices have gone up. But we still enjoy it because it is close to out house and the staff are friendly. The place is always clean. The salsa and margaritas are the best things there.

Food was great service not so good! Server deliverd food with meat to our two vegan guest then had to remake entire meals. Then did not comp us for any inconvenience! Also charged us for appetizers that never brought to the table.
