Our services make it possible for individuals and families to survive and thrive in our communities, to avoid frequent hospitalizations, to build supportive relationships and to work successfully toward well-being. We work with consumers as whole persons, integrating treatment and resources to support healthy minds, bodies and spirits.

We provide second chances to men and women in the criminal justice system, those with mental health and substance abuse problems so they too can become productive citizens.

We create innovative prevention services to create healthier schools, workplaces and communities for our youth and families. and support volunteers who mentor youth, volunteer in hospitals, senior centers, and libraries making a difference in people’s lives.

The SLV Behavioral Health Group - their facility, their doctors, and their support team - is wonderful! They have a pharmacy on site and call to remind you when it's time for your prescription refill; they'll even mail it to you! They not only made it easy to get the care I needed, but they actually listened and made me feel like more than just 'another patient.' I highly recommend!

Iam so disappointed in the Care I've received here for the past 3 years. The provider herself and I got into a huge argument over a medication Im not willing to get off of just yet . To make matters worse they refuse to help me when it comes to tapering off medications. It's a mess I'd give them a 0 if I could. If they can't help me I can imagine how many more people they haven't helped.

Great people - this agency works to reduce the stigma of mental health in the community and are the safety net provider for the San Luis Valley. The changing healthcare environment is critical in integrating care for physical and behavioral health.

Doesn't make sense the way you have to be clean for 21 days from Suboxone! If you are going to be clean that long why would you want to go back on an opiate that is more addictive! When you're sick from detoxing you need help quick! Not 21 days later! This policy needs to be rethought!

I really liked my counselor, but when I found out I owed $1200 for 3 visits, I canceled all further appointments. Before I started counseling, I asked the scheduler, the appointment desk, the intake counselor and my counselor what the fees were. None of them knew, none of them referred me to the financial coordinator. Since this is a facility for the community and has a sliding fee base, I thought I would be able to afford it. I was referred to this place by providers at San Luis Valley Health as the most affordable option. My counselor noticed the fees when I tried to make a 4th appointment and sent me to the financial person. She said my insurance would cover 80% of the cost, so I would only owe 20%. I cannot afford $80 a session either. A psychiatrist in Denver in private practice only charges $250 an hour, so $400 is ridiculous! Is this why our health care costs are so high? Is this why many people don't seek or get the help they need? I know I won't be able to afford counseling support now.
