Schauer Hardware

Can't expect a better local hardware store. Every time I've needed something to finish up a home project, I've been able to find it here. Staff is helpful and friendly. Also, the nearest home depot or lowes are much too far away, so it's really quite fortunate that this place exists, because it's far more convenient and far quicker to get in and out. Street parking outside is generally available. May need to park a block away during busier times, but parking is free, so it feels no different from any other big-chain hardware stores parking lot.

Classic small-town hardware store. A real gem in Forest Park. Customer service is first class. They will advise you on anything you need. If you go to Home Depot looking for a bolt or a pipe fitting, you'll be there all day trying to find someone to help you. Go to Schauer, you're in an out in 10 minutes!

Fantastic local hardware store, stocked with almost everything you could ever need. Lots of knowledgeable staff to help you find it.

Great place, have everything you could want along with the attentive employees to help you find it. It’s farthest from my house of all the hardware stores I’ll go to, but still my preferred.
