SEPHORA inside JCPenney

This Sephora definitely needs more extended space and needs more products. It’s too close to the exists and prone for theft. I love the service here! It’s definitely changed in the last two years. Before no one would say hi and now the new staff members seem more helpful.

This store does have room to improve, but I always have a great time when I go. The employees are always very kind, and accommodating. Even if you have little to no knowledge about makeup, the will take the time and help you. The selection is limited but it’s a small location. They do the best with what they have.

I go for the make-up products that I love from Sephora and they carry them, so there is not much to complain about. I have been in multiple times and I have had decent customer service, and have never had any issues testing/finding products. This is not a full sized shop, but for being inside a JCPenney it still serves its purpose.

This is the WORST Sephora I've been to. They carry very limited products, it's super dirty. I don't think anyone pays attention to how dirty the testers are or how people are using them. But you can't get to angry with people using their fingers because their tester applicator holders are always empty and often look more like garbage recepticals. The staff are a mix. You will either get someone to help you or you'll be completely ignored. Then when you go to purchase something and they ask if anyone helped you and your answer is no, they just say ok. I'd say 60-70% of the time you won't be helped because there are not enough people working, or they just ignore you and the rest of the time you'll get a descent employee. The other issue is that they're awful and I do mean awful at matching your foundation. I've also never heard of someone being pleased when they have their make up done there. Sephora online is the way to go if you have to buy something from them, but Ulta is much better in service as well as available products. Sorry Sephora, but to earn our money you'll have to do better.

On multiple occasions when visiting this I've had the worst experiences with the enolyees having bad attitudes and not being able to answer my most simple questions regarding products, policies etc.. as a loyal customer this behavior is unacceptable to me! The so called manager is a joke with not knowing her own stores policy regarding returns! Red headed snob with a terrible attitude! I will NOT be returning to this specific location going to Portland locations is necessary to be treated kindly and welcomed once entering the store. Salem location is terrible, unless your going for a specific item(s) or know what your looking for don't bother asking for help, you'll either be sold the wrong product or a shade way off for foundation. Never again with this Sephora location!!
