St. James Gate

We were skeptical about the "Irish" pub since we honeymooned in Ireland but they not only got the Pub looking right, they got the feel right too. The staff and patrons made you feel welcome and sitting down for one pint became two pretty quickly. We didn't eat here but the food looked good and from talking to others, tasted good too. It's quieter than many other places in town, a plus in our book.

Great place for young and old. Dave the bartender was playing some real fine music on a Tuesday evening... On the weekends, get ready for a full blown nightclub event. I love this place...

In regards to "Megan Cox's" review, I was at a neighboring table. I can honestly say I NEVER post reviews! Especially considering this my favorite place while in town during time spent at our beach house. I believe the review to be accurate from the patron. Frankly, I was concerned this patron was unwarrantly attacked by a staff member at this establishment. Regardless, I find the behavior of your staff member to be extremely inappropriate. It's such a shame because the atmosphere and food is wonderful here. I would expected professionalism from the staff especially responding to a public post. You have lost our business and I will be sure to share this with our neighbors. I will certainly miss your delicious Irish coffee! However it seems your establishment has little regard for the comfort of your patrons.

What a grand Irish pub on the ‘Edge of America.’ A great pint of Guinness and delicious food. The staff members are congenial and appear happy to be there. And the bartenders do it it right. This is a great place for afternoon drinking!

IRISH You Were Here! 🇮🇪 🤣 Seriously try this awesome place. Fish & Chips were delicious, great beer selection, and Irish breakfast made me very happy. 😁 After you're done eating go hit the Folly Beach waves! Also after hours they have a fun nightlife upstairs. Check it out! 🙌
