It's rare these days to find a business that actually lives up to what they promise when you initially sign the contracts and hand over your money. Superstition Mountain Music is one of those gems. We've rented very happily from them for two years now for our two sons (cello and violin) and have only ever been impressed with the quality of service and instruments received. We also do instrument lessons from the attached teachers. We originally decided to rent from them because we are passionate about supporting locally owned small businesses, and because each of our boys would receive brand new instruments. This was not the case with other instrument rental places that came to my son's school on the rental night. Superstition Mountain Music really stood out from the crowd: the insurance and rent-to-buy contract seemed great. Fast forward two years, and these instances specifically stand out to me: my younger son is in a 55 member orchestra, only one of at least 5 such classes in his school, and when we met his orchestra teacher for the first time, she specifically stopped and said, "You know, he's got a really, really nice instrument. Thank you for getting him such a good instrument--I appreciate that." It felt good that out of all the students she has, and all the instruments she sees, she specifically recalled the instrument he had as a particularly nice one--enough to go out of her way to comment on it. Also, my older son finally needed a repair on his cello and it was very painlessly covered under the insurance. No hidden fees or weird loopholes that allowed them to not actually pay for the repair. Just, "Okay, cool. We'll fix it." And they did. Also, my younger son just outgrew his violin and we got it replaced in another completely painless process. Just a measure, fit, replacement, and we were out the door without any money out of pocket for that, either. I mean, really. It is a drive to get there from our house, but so worth it to me. We'll continue to use and highly recommend Superstition Mountain Music for rentals and lessons.

Musician owned store with a great staff! If they don't have it, they will order it for you. I took my guitar in to have it setup, and it's never played better. I thought I could do it myself after watching a bunch of YouTube videos, and I thought it sounded pretty good. But once I had these guys do it, I realized that I wasn't even close! MTroniks (in the same shop) has also been very knowledgeable and affordable with all of my repairs. Highly recommended!!

Great costumer service. I like that part of what you pay for renting a musical instrument goes towards buying a new one
