On three occasions I brought unusual human-powered vehicles to Cosmic Wheel - a 12-inch pneumatic-tire scooter on which I wanted to switch handlebars, a full-size kickbike for which I wanted racing tires, and most recently a folding bike that I wanted to gear down, which required switching out the rear cassette and front chainrings and some expert tweaking. Each time, owner John Russo gave my requests full attention, helping me make the best component choices and making thoughtful suggestions, and when it came time to do the work, he always went a step beyond, fixing and upgrading things he came across that he knew would make the final results the best they could be. I am so grateful for his expertise. I highly recommend Cosmic Wheel. Edit: After writing this review, I remembered yet another experience I had at Cosmic Wheel - my first. Several years ago I brought my first folding bike to John for help adding a second chainring. He did it on the spot (I picked a good time) and I got to see him at work. I witnessed first-hand the care he took in getting it just right and it worked perfectly thereafter. That was my first experience and what kept me coming back. Second Edit: Since writing this review I finally purchased a proper road bike from Cosmic Wheel (a beautiful carbon fiber Cannondale Synapse). My research led me to the conclusion that within the category I was considering, all the major manufacturers' bikes were fine choices. My criteria then changed from which bike to which bike store, and that was a no-brainer. All the great service I got from Cosmic Wheel in the past led me right back to them, and it was the best decision I could have made. The help I got picking out and custom fitting my bike was second to none, as has been the service I've gotten from them ever since. The bike turned out to be the perfect choice for me. I have nothing but the highest regard for Cosmic Wheel and highly recommend it.
