The Hale House

I have only eaten here twice. The atmosphere is quite nice. The serving sizes are generous. And, the wait staff is wonderful. The only negative thing I found were the haystack onions. On my second visit, I ordered them. Immediately, I was reminded that I had not been happy with them the first time. While they are never healthy food at any location, they are unbelievably salty at the Hale House. Order the sweet potato fries. They are great.

Good food and excellent service, even with my 2 year old in tow. It can fill up quickly, so off peak times are key, especially if you want to converse as it gets loud. Even when you do have to wait you can sit at the bar and enjoy a drink. When the server brought our food he placed my son's in front of me to ensure it was cool enough for him, great gesture I have not seen at other restaurants. Parking is available on both sides of the building. Service was very quick, even when it got full and my food was hot and prepared well. I had the smoked salmon wrap which had an insane amount of salmon inside. Don't get me wrong, that is a good thing. The grief are average and the haystack onions seemed a bit everyone. The chips are excellent. My overall tips are: get there by 11:30 for lunch, 5:30 for dinner, get chips as a side, and use the parking lot on the east side of the building. There is a tiny barber shop lot in between but plenty of space reserved for the restaurant.

We were here last year on a rainy night... FAN-TASTIC beer selection. Taps from all over. Great service. We were here maybe 30 seconds and were asked by the bartenders about drinks. Twice even. The menu is incredible. Eclectic. Potato skins with duck. The French Onion soup is actually baked! Had the fried cod. Nicely done. SALTED RYE BREAD!!! I love salted rye. Both times we were here we have had a wait. Totally worth the wait.

Every staff member we encountered were Awesome. Polite, efficient, and personable. The food was delicious!! Heads up, if you order the scrumptious poutine, you may not have much room for your entree. Keep up the outstanding work!!

I Met one of the owner's J.C. He is a Great Business Owner! He Care's deeply about his business and the way you are treated as a customer! The tavern is clean, fun, inexpensive, wonderful environment, The patrons really enjoy themselves at THE HALE HOUSE! THE BEST PART ABOUT THE HALE HOUSE IS THE FOOD! THE BURGERS ARE FABULOUS! "TA DIE FOR!" -TOMMY "G" P.S FISH FRY IS THE BEST IN TOWN! ALSO IT'S NOT JUST ON FRIDAY,... YOU CAN SNEAK ONE IN ON WEDNESDAY IF YOU'RE FEELING FISHY!!
