The portions are small and the quality is adequate. The interior is huge and the prices are high. Overall this is the very typical 3 dollar sign type of place that is all over the city, and if you have eaten at one then you have eaten at them all. This place is adequate. It's not surprises and it's tasty. Nothing exceptional, but nothing disappointing either.

Everytime I visit New York City there's a pressure of trying to find the right restaurant. I want excellent food with unique recipes and a little artistic Flair but I don't want it to be touristy or overrated. I always end up with what I call eaters remorse. Not this time! The Milling room was exactly what I've been looking for all along. The menu was small but thoughtful and exactly what I was looking for. The service was friendly and on point. It has that small neighborhood feel but with a metropolitan Flair. I very much enjoyed the mix of upscale dining and secret gem atmosphere. 10 stars if I could :)

All-around amazing restaurant find in Upper West Side. Delicious and focused food menu. Range of cocktails, beer, and wine list with great bartender recommendations. Spacious and trendy atmosphere. Friendly and attentive wait staff especially with my family member who was in a wheelchair that arrived late and within an hour or closing. They also added a candle to my dessert for my birthday!! Highly recommend The Milling Room for any occasion from happy hour to family celebrations!!

Good atmosphere, good food, okay service. Came here for dinner, sat at the tavern bar. Ordered couple of beers, duck wings as appetizer, which was flavorful but could have been more tender, and sautéed bass which was awesome. The server was a bit indifferent, and the entree came out before appetizer was finished.

Went for a preshow dinner last night and had a great meal. I had delicious pappardelle with oxtail ragu and my wife has some wonderful dumplings with lobster. Service was very good too. This is a rare find in a part of town that doesn't have a lot of good restaurants.
