The Original Pancake House

It’s pretty busy. But worth any wait. Coffee is okay (but I’m a coffee snob). They aren’t shy about feeding you. The French toast is amazing, bacon nice and crisp without being burned, they can actually cook a steak to medium rare, eggs are awesome. The service was truly the best. Our waitress, Lisa, truly works very hard (I haven’t seen her slow down the whole time we were here and she always kept my coffee full), is completely honest, and made our visit even better.

I always have a great experience when I come here. I recommend the French Toast. It’s amazing. I’ve always had great service no matter how busy it is. I appreciate that Natalie always makes me feel welcome on my rare changes I get to visit.

We sampled pancakes and waffles. Both were excellent. Sausage and bacon were high quality meats. Place was busy but quick turnaround. Great breakfast, definitely recommend. We'll return.

The food is consistently great, but service is really slow. The servers are super nice and all seem to be good at their jobs, but the place is always, always full, and the servers seem to have too many tables at a time to really keep up. It's a problem. If I were the owner, I'd splurge on that extra $2.13 an hour it would cost to have another server on the floor so service would be better/faster.

I stayed in Birmingham for few weeks and ended up going to this place thrice.. because this place has the BEST PANCAKES IN TOWN !!! The service is good and the ambience very lively. This breakfast place is a must for every foodie in Birmingham. I tried their cinnamon glazed apple pancake and also the strawberry pancakes... I must say both were very delicious. And their omelette are big enough to serve two. Worth every penny !!!
