Yo' Mama's

I’m feeling this joint! It took me a year to actually get there because it seemed like I couldn’t get my schedule to match up with their odd business hours. But when I got there it didn’t disappoint. The space is a little small but it’s clean, well managed, and carries a overall energetic urban vibe. It’s an order and sit style restaurant, which felt perfectly suitable for their approach. The food came hot and freshly cooked! I felt like the chicken could have a bit more seasoning but it was still good. The servers were helpful, attentive and down to earth but still professional. I ordered the chicken and waffles this time. The waffles can with a homemade syrup that I’ve never had before. It was good, especially when I mixed it with the peach cobbler topping the gave me for my waffle. I’m coming back and the next time I want shrimp and grits!

I absolutely love Yo Mama's! It ran by a wonderful black woman who makes delicious food and offers outstanding service. I am totally hooked on the chicken and waffles witg fresh fruit! If you haven't been there get in your car and head downtown because you are missing out on life. Love Yo Mama's!!!***

We had been seeing them on Instagram and family members told about this place so we traveled 165 miles from Atlanta to try it out and we wouldn’t mind doing it again. The food was absolutely delicious and that Crystal will make you feel like family before you leave. I had the chicken chicken and waffle and my girls had the shrimp and grits. We love Yo Mama’s!!!

Let me tell you something ! Do not wait, like I did, to go have yourself some of their delicious food asap! I tried their fish plate with cheese grits and fries made from actual potatoes 🙌 The fish was really the best I've had in some time, not greasy & brilliantly seasoned. Tbh, I wanted to go hug or hi-5 everyone in that kitchen. 😂seriously ☺😉

I love their fried wings! Many of my friends have come here with me and now it's become one of their favorite spots. Everything about this place is A+ from the sides to the friendly service.
