The Pilates Barr

The Pilates Barr has a great selection of classes in Pilates and Iyengar yoga. The instructors are professional, knowledgeable and they encourage a fun work out. The added bonus is that the free parking. The class sizes are small so, it is a bit more expensive than a gym. It is well worth it because, individual attention is provided for each person class and I firmly believe that you get what you pay for!

This is an excellent studio! Small classes means they walk around and ensure proper form and technique. Lots of variety of exercises throughout the session which helps to keep you engaged and motivated. I highly recommend The Pilates Barr!

I attended Pilates classes prior to joining The Pilates Barr but the studio I attended closed so I went in search of another. I joined a gym for Pilates classes for a year but it was not at all the same as attending small classes: no personal attention was not what I wanted or needed. Then I found the Pilates Barr, not that far from my home. I enrolled in the Introductory 2 plus 2 package consisting of 2 private sessions with Carolyn, the owner, and 2 weeks of classes. I took the 2 private sessions and enrolled in and have taken more since I found them so totally wonderful. Carolyn is personable, professional and very knowledgeable. I continued with private sessions since I have a couple of physical issues right now I am working with Carolyn to resolve as well as coming up to speed with my knowledge of Pilates moves. I have become a little rusty while going to the gym. I fully plan to attend this studio in a class and private session basis from now on. The facility is beautiful, very clean, well equipped and very comfortable and the classes are small, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Carolyn for being there.

I have tried a variety of classes around the GTA and the class that I took at the Pilates Barr was by far the best. The attention to detail and individual students' needs was exactly what I was looking for. I would highly recommend their classes for people of all ages and levels.

The Pilates Barr is a lovely studio, conveniently located, offering a friendly and inviting environment. Carolyn, Gord and their knowledgable and personable instructors do a terrific job of creating interesting fun workouts using a wide variety of equipment. Recently added Iyengar yoga classes help compliment my weekly Pilates workout!
