Fast paced auction and quality merchandise. Jeff does a nice job keeping the auction moving along and doesn't play any games. The staff have been with him for a long time and really hustle! They are always looking for ways to improve or refine their operation. I especially like the new (earlier) start time and better organized catalog. I never leave empty handed!!!

Auctioneer is Rude and Crude. Maybe others find it funny, or just a polite chuckle, but I was offended. He also has a bad attitude, like he is doing us a favor by being there. I go to auctions that appreciate my business. Also, guy at the desk copped an attitude because I wouldn't donate $2 to his army buds for a catalog. I shouldn't have to go to an auction and feel pressured to support something I don't. They get a good salary + free everything including health care, plus can afford to hire prostitutes in Columbia. My taxes already pay them, I don't want to send them care packages.
I don't bring my personal issues or opinions into an auction house, and I don't want to be exposed to others'.

I've frequented the Sarasota Auction for years and always have a good time. The staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help. Whether you're looking to buy or sell, or even just a night out, consider the Sarasota Auction.

I have been to the Sarasota Auction Gallery many times. I have always had a great experience while there. They are very knowledgable about things. They are professional and polite to everyone.

I had a similar experience to another review herein. Although the owners were very friendly at the time of the pick-up at our home, the net proceeds check was somewhat of a shock. It was only about a half to 1/3rd what I roughly anticipated. Lots of expensive furniture and goods were consigned for auction and it seems that they possibly auctioned off to anyone that was there, whether the bidders were "engaged" or not and possibly little regard to getting the best possible amount for the consignor and consequently the house. We had, to name a few things: 2 very nice Norwalk wingback armchairs, an English armoire, a clean and modern sofa, end tables, pictures, antique cabinets, framed pictures, a double-door, lighted glass curio, NASCAR memorabilia etc. All consigned merchandise and furniture was in good, very good or excellent condition. I realize an auction is an auction but I think better valuations could have been realized or re-auctioned at another date. Apparently, there must be a niche market in the Sarasota County area for seaside/beachy-type furniture but other than that you are on your own and take somewhat of a risk on what you will really get for your possessions at this auction house. Unfortunately, we had already moved out of state and was unable to personally attend the date of the auction.
