I have sold many many items through Venice Auction and have been very satisfied. I never have a run around getting my money as I have had with other auctions. It’s a fun nite and I find Joe more than fair, hence I see the same people sale nite for years.

I've seen these guys bidding and winning at other auctions. It's not fair to the small town auctioneers and not fair to have to bid against professional auctioneers at small town auctions! There should be a code of ethics. Very unprofessional!

Agree with other posters - this is mainly a venue to get rid of used furniture from realtors staging home sales. There are very few typical auction items. Also, the seating is not nearly enough and they charge $5 admission. Save your $5 and go to Burger King.

Not a real auction for alot of the things selling. A lot of Chinese furniture bought in a container and either put on the show room floor or sold in the auction. I personally have bought quite a few things there and have latter found out what I thought was a rear find where available other places even cheaper. Live and learn. I will give them credit for their selection and style of furniture, but still not real great quality. The auction sometimes is very limited on estate furniture and tools and filled in with store bought furniture and pictures. They charge $5 for a bidding # multiplied by at least 150 people. It's an easy $750 a week not including buying and selling fees. On a good note, we did by quite a few nice home furniture pieces including a leather sofa and couch set which are very nice quality along with a Thomasville entertainment center. All said, it probably is worth the $5 for entertainment value and the possibility of finding a gem. Don't get caught up in the hype!
