Another very nice NYC Parks gum with pool. The staff is professional and courteous. The pool is rarely crowded as is the gym area. Nice place to exercise on a budget

Great place to exercise. Take interesting classes and mix with s diverse crowd. The pool is not too crowded and the water aerobics class is fun. It’s a little run down but basically safe and clean.

As my preferred fitness center for decades this rec center embodies everything GREAT about a public facility. There's something for everyone and the staff is a joy to interact with. Those of us that have been around the block a few times still know it as "Carmine Street".

The pool is not overloaded, nice workout but limited resources, few computers, close computers at 3pm and the showers run for short periods and are cold to lukewarm. I prefer warmer showers. It's clean and tranquil if you don't mind the shortcomings listed. Best communal pool in town and friendly staff

This gym is ridiculous for the price. Pool is nice and the people are friendly. Not fancy but totally worth the price.
