Short short version: Shop somewhere else.
Last winter, went in to buy snow tires. They used a torque wrench on my locking lugs and stripped them, so I had to bring it to the dealership to get the lugs taken off ($60). I spoke with the employee at the desk when I brought my car back over to get the tires on, and asked if they could reimburse me for the cost of having the lugs removed. He was very rude and said it wasn't their fault, and that they would not reimburse. When I got my car back, the interior was completely trashed. There was salt/mud smeared all over the door panels, dash board, etc. There was way more than could be deemed accidental. I emailed their general customer service address, and they did send me a refund check for $60, but did not respond or apologize for the absolute mess they had made of the car. They also did not apologize for breaking the lugs.
Fast forward to today, I brought it back in to get my all season tires put on. I dropped the car off, no problem. I got a call an hour later saying one of the all season tires needed to be replaced. Odd they didn't mention this when they took the all seasons off a couple months ago? A while later, i got a text saying my car was done. Got back to the shop and there is a line out the door. 4 employees at the desk, only one assisting customers, the other three ignoring the line. 15 minutes of waiting later, someone finally asks how they can assist me. I tell them I'm here to pick up my vehicle, and I'm told it's not done yet (even though got a text over half an hour ago saying it was done). Another 15 minutes of waiting, I go up to see if it's done and am told it's finally done. Get the bill, and guess what? That "free" tire changeover does not include balancing, which costs $75. They did not mention that to me when I dropped the car off, nor did I authorize it. What I thought was going to be a free service ended up costing me almost $250. At least they didn't trash the interior this time...

Justin, who is the manager at Townfair is incredible to work with. I have purchased multiple sets of tires and wheels from him and his team. He is wonderfully accommodating, communicative, kind and patient. We had an issue with the wheels on my last car, which all happened while I was dealing with a really painful injury. He did everything possible to work with me and help me out and make sure I was taken care of. This is a great team with a great manager that truly understands customer service. Amazing!

Now after reading multiple reviews I wish I stayed away from this place. Got 4 tires put on my car while in parking lot I watched employees racing around in customers cars. At that point I should have left, went in side and ordered my tires and I declined the free alignment because I know there not good because of friends that have issues here. I got a snippy alright from the guy at the desk. After they installed my tires and put my 2 good spares in my trunk they kept slamming my door of my trunk till it finally locked again I have a high tolerance for people and never thought anything of it. Drove home and i went in Never looked at my trunk lid. Next day I go out to pull tires out and there's a dent in my trunk!! Fresh paint chipped off not old new so I brought it back and they continue to tell me it was there before. I explained multiple times it wasn't and they kept arguing with me I think I know what the back of my trunk look like before I brought it there. They offered to pay half of the bill if I went to Moody's, why would they offer half if they didn't think they did it. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the rear door fire of going and it's my word against theirs so who would win this battle unfortunately this poor company. I would strongly recommend staying away from this place I have had too many friends have bad experiences here. They might have the cheapest tires around but you will pay for it in a mounting and balancing tire disposal and their so-called free alignment.

I received excellent service! After experiencing a flat tire on 95, AAA brought me to Town Fair Tire to help me get back on the road. Regardless of the fact that there was not an available slot for another 2 hours, I was moved to the front of the line. I was back on the road in no time! Thank you for helping me out in this emergency situation!

I’ve been to Town Fair Tire twice in South Portland and have been extremely satisfied both times. The service was great in taking me right away and everybody was very pleasant. I’m a customer who doesn’t usually write reviews but I truly recommend Town Fair Tire for your tire needs! Excellent experience! Thank you!
