Tropical Smoothie Cafe

We went to this place on a Saturday morning at approximately 10am. The removable door lock was still on the door handle making the place looked closed. Upon walking inside I could smell an off-smell like old standing water, hard to describe. Workers were sitting down in the customer seating looking at their cellphones. The long counter past the front door was littered with crumbs for almost the entire length of the counter, enough to make me not want to sit there and place things on it. The counters themselves had old sticky stains all over, like they hadn't been cleaned in days. Signs and table surfaces were slightly sticky to the touch. Nothing felt clean inside there. Looking past the counter there was a small puddle of water going from the service area into the backroom, enough that a mop could easily pick up. A fly was landing about near the cash register counter. The menu had high prices, but I did not get the impression this was a place kept to high standards. Why are they not cleaning the store in the mornings?

They definitely have a supply issue. The wraps are the smallest I have ever seen, most of the ingredients are missing. Not very happy.

This is not a location that I frequent or order from. I ordered a smoothie through the app for my daughter to pick up on her way to work. When she arrived within 10 minutes, it was no longer a smoothie. She asked the employee to remake it into a smoothie, which the employee refused. The employee said all she could do is a refund. But, it does not appear there has been a refund. It just seems like if it had been made correctly, it would still have a somewhat smoothie like consistency. And exactly how difficult would it have been to remake the smoothie? I should have absolutely read the reviews as if I had, I would have definitely sent her to Lincoln Street instead of this location. I frequented the West Columbia, Lincoln Street, Prisma and Two Notch locations many times and have never had any issues. Will most definitely steer clear of this location going forward.

I'm not one to submit reviews but after today's visit I felt compelled to do so. This is not the location that I frequent but I wanted a smoothie. I can honestly say I won't returning to this location because the customer service was horrible. The employees didn't greet me and they all seemed to have attitudes. Customer service is a big deal to and at this location it's you don't feel welcome at all.

I used to go to the store before the new owner bought it. And it was awful. But it has gotten a lot better with the new owner. But please fire the mix girl with a star tatoo on the neck. Her attitude is poor, body language terrible and she does not acknowledge you when you placing your order. She just walks away before with are even done talking. She has a very unwelcoming attitude . It has happened multiple times.

This is my closest trip and the last 5 or 6 times I’ve gone the smoothies have been under blended and lack flavor. Most recently today 7/8 I ordered a beach bum with double dark chocolate and it’s once again under blended and tastes like there wasn’t enough chocolate put in for one let alone a double. I’ve had this exact problem with this location before too. It’s disappointing bc I was having a rough day and now I have a subpar smoothie to go with it.

Food was decent; as can be expected for a chain. Gave 1 star due to food sanition. Female worker on the right in the grey shirt was making a smoothie, already in the serving cup to drink out of. The smoothie dropped onto the floor with the contents spilling out. Instead of throwing it out, she put the remaining contents back into the blender and added more ingredients and then proceeded to serve it to someone ..... Recommend this facility be reevaluated for food sanitation.

Had to come inside for my curbside order, & they forgot one side. When I asked about the other missing side they said “oh yeah, we’re out of kale salad.”

I absolutely love Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I don't get the pleasure of coming here often, but when I do, I can always find a healthy, vegan/vegetarian option. This is part of the reason I come here. Check out this Hummus Veggie Wrap and banana!

Great, I took my Church member and she treated me to a Smoothie for the first time and now I'm hooked. Mmmmm. good!!!
