U-Haul Moving & Storage at University

Smooth interaction nothing bad to say about them. They were extremely helpful and the price for the car dolly was good. I'm a little confused reading the bad reviews from others as I didn't experience anything negative from the company. Might have been an off day for both parties involved.

Horrible. Very, very rude manager. Very bad communication skills and temperament. Impatient. Understaffed, but the staff that was there was nice, (not management though). You full-out a ton of waivers for them but when you point out damage to them before taking they are aloof. Drive a few extra miles and go to Washington. Excellent customer service there. TIP: always call Uhaul store direct. Their computer reservation system sucks. The stores have little communication between them. Some are company owned ( peoria) and some are privately owned (Washington ). Much better service from mom and pop locations.

We rented a trailer from another Peoria location on Knoxville, and the trailer, when delivered, had a turn signal out. We were told we had to go to the University location to get it fixed. Anthony at the University location was AWESOME - he came out and diagnosed the trailer light problem (turned out to be a problem with the trailer light controller on my truck) and he did everything in his power to take care of us. One of the few times I have felt like someone really cared for me as a customer! If you are renting truck or trailer in the Peoria area, make sure you use the University location (Behind Golden Corral). Anthony and his guys will take great care of you, and you will waste more time than it is worth working with one of the "satellite" locations - just go to the MAN first.

The manager has a very smart mouth wasn't pleased at all!! Better luck next time no more of my .💳
