I love coming to the Ulta in Maple Grove. The store is clean, has what I'm looking for, and things I'm not, and helpful staff. Victoria was very helpful, and patient, while I was checking out today and trying to find my coupon offer on my phone - thank you for great customer service.

I decided to brave the 45 minute drive because the Coon Rapids Ulta doesn't carry a few things I wanted to try. I was greeted by someone, and they did point me to the Smashbox stand. But when I started asking questions, the lady said she didn't know because she was a makeup rep for a different brand and walked away. After wandering around trying to figure things out myself for about 20 minutes, I gave up. I didn't get to try the product I made the treck to test, so I left without buying anything.

Sarah the manager is the rudest employee I've ever encountered. I work at Ulta myself but at the Fargo location so I know how everything works. Sarah refused to complete a return for me stating "I as an employee do not feel comfortable doing so". As a manager that is ridiculous and she took unnecessary steps in my transaction while having an attitude the entire time. Sarah if you're reading this I'm telling your supervisor right after I post this.

I've been coming to this location for a couple years now and have predominantly good experiences. The only negative was my very first visit where a sales girl assumed I was much older than I was and pushed anti aging products on me for my "mature skin". When I told her I was 23 (at the time) she looked absolutely stunned, but continued pushing. I didn't go back for a while after that because I was mortified, but eventually my friend dragged me in again. I was having issues with my foundation and a bare minerals rep helped me find my shade and a primer to go with it. Very helpful!
Another time more recently, I was looking at eye primers because my eyelids were so dry and flaky. An ulta girl listened to my concerns and brought me to the TooFaced brand, explained the shadow insurance primer, and offered for me to test it out. It was awesome and I can't recommend it more! It's a great fit for my skin and needs. I didn't catch her name, but she was about 5'5 with gorgeous blonde hair. She had an apron with makeup tools, so maybe she was a brow specialist?
Now, today I went in for my first facial EVER. My skincare specialist was named Joey and she was delightful! Her evaluation of my skin was very thorough, and she was also respectful about my comfort level through the whole service. She explained every step, the products she was using and why, what was in it, and let me know if it might tingle or tickle. She checked in with me frequently about my comfort level and I felt very relaxed with her. She was awesome and my skin is soooo much happier!

One of the workers was so awesome! She stayed with me and answered all my questions no matter how silly they seemed.
