Urban Hound Playground

After having a really bad experience with another daycare outside of the cities (one of our dogs was seriously injured), we decided to brave trying again with a different daycare and picked Urban Hound because of the awesome reviews and proximity to our house. I was a nervous wreck about doing daycare again, and the staff at Urban Hound has been MORE than accommodating despite my neurotic behavior. They have gone out of their way to assure me that they have the best standards for safety protocols and care. The entire staff has been so kind, caring, and helpful as I re-introduced our two dogs (and myself) back into the daycare environment. They're incredibly upfront with us, and have no problems letting us know about how the day went for both dogs. I love that they post pictures of daycare most days because it helps reassure me that they were active and engaged. I also appreciate that the staff all seem mature and confident--with people and dogs. Their philosophy about dog interactions and understanding dog behavior well enough to allow (appropriate) corrections is what convinced me that this is a good fit for us. Finally, they've really put up with a lot from me and their courteous and kind responses are so, *so* appreciated. Nothing but great things to say about the experiences we've had here so far.

It wasn't clear just how much our old daycare was struggling until we started sending our dog to Urban Hound. There, he used to try to pull back toward me when he would get dropped off and even slid out of his leash once to do so! There, I'd come to pick him up and he'd be standing on his hind legs barking to get out. Here, he takes a goodbye peek at me on his way in and calmly greets me when he's picked up. He's exhausted and has great dreams about running and yipping. The staff told us on his first day who he played with the most and we were excited to see his new buddy in their Valentine's Day photoshoot to put a face to a name! The second time we took our dog, that same buddy was hanging around him all day again in the pictures we got. It's clear that they just didn't come up with a random name to mention - they know our dog's best friends! We love this place!

Great for daycare and boarding. My dog has done both and had great experiences. Staff is really friendly.

This is the BEST daycare ever!!!!! They are very accommodating and take wonderful care of my babies!!!!

Its been three days and we already feel like we're part of the "pack" and family. Everyone is truly interested and invested in making my three dogs comfortable and happy while at daycare. They ask a lot of good questions right away to get to know the dogs and what would be a good fit for them. They even understood particular quirks of the breed. I am so happy to have found such a wonderful place for my dogs to go!
